RB Chris "Beanie" Wells (All B1G, All-American)

A lot will depend on how well he can pick up the blocking here during spring ball as to how soon and how much he plays. However, Pittman did so well and was so consistent this season, its hard to imagine anyone but Pitty taking the large majority of the snaps this season. That said though, I think he'd make a great 3rd down and goalline back this year (a Brandon Schnitker type RB), IF he can get the plays and the blocking down. He's as close to a prototypical Buckeye HB as you can get- big, fast power runner. He's gonna really be something here at Ohio State.

As far as controversy goes, there will be NONE. Write that down. Wells is the thunder to Pitty's lighning. They're gonna be the best 1-2 punches in the nation in 2 years... if Pittman stays his sr year.

I think both have thunder and lightning by themselves. I think people are forgetting how strong Pitty is. Remember the 16 yd td run against Illinois, all the stiff arms this season, and that 3 yd td against scUM? Pitty is a little pitbull while Wells is a bulldog. Pittman was also a very good option in the passing game with all those 20 yard screens. Bottom line, both are very versatile.

Another great read from Bill Greene...

Chris is moving to Columbus this weekend and will enroll for Spring Quarter. He knew tOSU was right for him on last year's Junior Day. Beanie already feels a close bond with many of his incoming teammates.

Excellent article and information about a kid who bleeds S&G.

excerpt from Signing Day Tracker

Bill Greene says: "The BEST. Period. A great kid from a great family. He's everything off the field that Clarett should have been. I spent the evening with him the night before signing day and could not be more impressed. People flock to him like a rock star and he loves being around people. ON the field I've got a very special feeling about this kid. Think Archie, Keith or Eddie. I'm betting he leaves OSU as one of Columbus' all-time favorites. This is the ultimate Jim Tressel recruit. The best player in the country teams up with the best coach in the country. Let the fun begin!"

Just when I think I can't possibly anticipate him more, I see something like this. Let the fun begin indeed!
