Is it safe to assume that Chris is the leading candidate for Mr. Football in Ohio this year? Putting up these huge stats, plus an OSU commit, is anyone else going to challenge him for the award?

In my opinion he is the best back in Ohio but he will not win Mr. Football in Ohio this year, Delone Carter is a possiblity.

That's exactly who I was thinking. Not only is DC putting up stellar numbers, he's also on the number 1 team in their respective region.

wells, 162 carries 1505 yards 9.3 average 21 td's

not to bad for a one man show and not even an average h.s.

I hope tOSU uses him as a tailback instead of a linebacker. We have a lot of talent coming in at linebacker, but we need that extra push on offesne.

I don't think there was ever any question where he will play...

Because of his size, 6 2, 230lbs as a senior in H.S., some scouts thought he would grow out of his tailback frame and be better suited as a linebacker (which he also plays currently). Some even thoght he would get too big and have to move to a defensive end spot.

Personally, I think he could be another Eddie George type, or as some are saying, an Adrian Peterson type. I would take either one. Chris Wells and Antonio Pitmann in the backfield... I would be scared if I was the opposing defense.

Yeah, I know. I've heard those theories. I don't think tOSU ever considered him anything but a RB though.

Good. I love him at running back. I created him in NCAA06 and I made him a monster. Hopefully he can live up to that.

this is the reason we landed eddie, everyone else wanted him to play lb. joe pa told he was an AA lb, but Coop played the tailback card and we stole him away from his home state.
