Garfield star not expected to miss game

Word of a possible leg injury to Garfield running back Chris Wells reached Ohio State on Friday night, but his father said Saturday that his son is OK.

Chris Wells did sustain a bruise on his right leg during Thursday night's 21-7 loss to Hoban, but he is not expected to miss Friday's game against GlenOak, James Wells said.

To be safe, Wells, an Ohio State recruit, took a tetanus shot after the game. An unidentified player bit him after a play from scrimmage, his dad said.

I'm just wondering how he bit through his facemask
you'd be surprised how often players figure out a way. on my high school team we had a LB who would pride himself in being able to bite other guys arms and legs, which he'd do almost every game. needless to say no one ever wanted to do tackle drills with him...
