Unlikely... but doubtful.

Trust the coaches.

Thanks. I'm getting dizzy and I think I may vomit. :io:

(Apple Skoal is delicious, but you shouldn't consider it a meal replacement. Dizziness is bound to follow)

I can't wait to hear the awkward sound of fear from the SC 'faithful' when Beanie rips off his first run. I'm going all-in on optimism

:oh::oh:

He's gonna play I think, how much is the question. I think we'll see him probably run 10 times or so? In that case I think we have to use him very wisely here. I think te best way to use beanie would be short yard situations to keep that USC defense on the field. Let him rest the whole game but every situation we have thats either 2nd, 3rd or 4th and short we put beanie in to either pick up the first down or use him as a decoy. Remember just having him on the field in itself changes how USC approaches the game.

Beanie can still have an impact I think but just in a more limited role. Go back to his freshman year type of role with short yard situations and keep the chains moving. We can win this game without him although it will be THAT much harder. With today, tomorrow, and most of saturday to rest I think his foot will be to the point where he can atleast throw his weight around for a good 5-10 plays. Now its up to our offensive staff to use him correctly. Although I don't know if they can/will because I've always been extremely disappointed with the way we utilize our talent.

WARNING:

I got vrep-dinged the other day for suggesting that we send the street level google map link over to the BN guys so they could find their brains or pride. Be careful... you just may get dinged too.

All in good fun.

Oh, yeah... Beanie content:

He'll play or he won't. We'll win or we won't. Our lives will go on. What's important is how he recovers for the rest of the season and for his NFL days.

The thing that bothers me most about this is that I'm sure that, for as frustrated as any of us are, I'm sure that it's killing Beanie more than anyone. Let's all just think about that for a sec. May suck for us, but it's really got to be a huge downer for one of the greatest TBs to come through the S&G.

Does anyone really believe USC has the kind of D that needs to compromise itself to account for Beanie Wells?

Agreed.

Besides... there is nothing else to account for anyway.

What are they gonna do? Watch '06 film?

They have to prep for Beanie because that's all they have to prep with, nothing Tressel says can change that. Its not like they can go watch 6 games from last year that we won without him and say, "Oh, duh, that's what this group of returning starters would do without Wells."

Having said that, our Offense and their D will both have to sort of improvise on the fly without him in the game... but... I'd rather have Beanie than improvisation.

let's see. a sophomore season that was limited by bone chips in his feet and a broken wrist. an undisclosed 'toe injury' in the opener of his junior campaign, an injury whose scope has no yet been determined... just how much do you think his NFL stock will 'rise' if he comes back for an injury riddled senior year?

he ain't coming back. come to grips with it.
Beanie has, like, 79 brothers and sisters.

He's GONE, people!!!
