RB Chris "Beanie" Wells (All B1G, All-American)

I agree with the reasons given, but I'm still sick of hearing them repeat themselves over and over again.

I'll be glad to hear some official news tomorrow, be it good or bad. I just want to know the score.

I'm glad to hear that he's probably going to be able to play the USC game, but the thing that worries me the most is that this injury will be easily reaggrivated and we'll be going through this every week much like the Maurice Clarett stinger in 2002. But I suppose if this season ends up the same as that one I'd be okay with it.

Has there been any info as to what level of Turf Toe? Cause even though erbody is thinking that everything is oK, if it is bad it could require surgery to repair.

I definitely hope that it is just an aggravated tendon or something and not seriously damaged.

No. We aren't even positive at this point that it is turf toe. He'll be undergoing treatment tomorrow and probably some tests so I suspect we'll have a clearer answer as to what exactly the injury is and the severity by this time tomorrow.

Ross Homan lost a whole year, I believe, with a severe case, but that's unusual. Beanie is a warrior and would play if his wrist were broke and his foot felt like it was going to fall off.(didn't he do that last year?) Beanie is a great back with a history of injuries. :(

You are right on target. I do not understand why they did not do a MRI right away yesterday before the swelling started. Once his swells, it is very difficult to see what is going on. I still think with everyone saying it is "fine" they read the do not know if there is any type of damage until the swelling goes down and they can do an MRI or a bone scan. A bone scan is a very sophisticated x-ray and is done by the nuclear medicine department of radiology.

By the time they got off the field, I imagine that it was already swelled up. All you can do at that point is xray. It sounds like we will have the answer tomorrow.
