RB Chris "Beanie" Wells (All B1G, All-American)

Beanie ran for an tOSU record w/o the benefit of a threat of a passing attack today. The entire year he's run against a defense that has stacked the box. The O Line has been great at times, the defense has been great most of the year, but Beanie has carried our offense (and team) this year.

I'm sure its been mentioned but he absolutely fucking trucked Englemon on that first TD. Man vs boy on that play.
Pointed out to my friends in my living room that a key stat would be "Yards after Englemon."

Beanie got them in bunches on virtually every run.

THE COLUMBUS DISPATCH

ANN ARBOR, Mich. -- Chris "Beanie" Wells had the ball in his hand and open spaces in his eyes.
The day was gray and mist filled the air, but on what turned out to be the most important play yesterday against Michigan, the Ohio State running back said he saw nothing but daylight as he hit the left side of the line.
"The offensive line did a great job blocking; it was wide open," Wells said. "I just ran through the hole."
Sixty-two yards later, he not only had completed the longest run of his career, he had scored his second touchdown to put Ohio State up 14-3 with 13:40 left in the third quarter.

SPORTS SPOTLIGHT: Wells? signature is stamped on Buckeye victory

SPORTS SPOTLIGHT
TODD PORTER

ANN ARBOR, MICH. On a cold Woody Hayes-kind of afternoon with a wind that felt like razor blades, Ohio State punished Michigan on Saturday at The Big House.

The Buckeyes didn?t just punch the Wolverines in the mouth. They pancaked their linemen, stood up their cocky running back and won a good, ol? fashioned football fistfight.

Michigan, its pride wounded after a fourth straight loss to Coach Jim Tressel?s Buckeyes, limped off the field to a cold, quiet locker room. The Wolverines seniors leave never having tasted victory against Ohio State.

Meanwhile, the visitors held roses between their teeth and let out Saturday?s loudest roar when Big Ten Commissioner Jim Delany handed OSU its second straight outright Big Ten trophy.

"That's a special way to break a team's will," Ohio State right tackle Kirk Barton said. "We lined up and ran it right at them when they knew we were running the ball. ... The ghost of Woody Hayes came down and called plays."

This was a Woody ball game if there ever was one. Very proud to be a Buckeye. Thanks Beanie for being that "warrior".

What the fuck is it with Ohio State athletes looking about 30 years older than they actually are by the way? First, we got Grandpa Oden who's 20 going on 65, and then I actually see Beanie's face and HAYZEUS FUCKING KRYSTO, the guy looks like he's 45! What do you Ohio folk put in the water?
