RB Carlos "El Guapo" Hyde (Official Thread)

I don't know what the "right" discipline is....All I know is the rest of the team does not deserve what he has brought upon them...regardless of the video.

"He" hasn't "brought upon" shit. He is the only one who is any sort of possible trouble...no one else on the team. The team isn't under media scrutiny. This is no where near a distraction to the team that you make it out to be.

Just keeping score....

Tsun thug convicted of a felony gets 1 game?

People here are advocating that Carlos get 3? Not only was no crime committed, but if you believe in equality, then Carlos is also a victim.

WTF?

Another thing to take into consideration was Meyers quote about not worrying what others think about his program. He said he tried that before and it Didnt work out so well. I don't think he will ruin a kids future so ESPN or other news outlets can say how tough he is.

Maybe you should actually watch the video before you throw your two cents in.
So I can play detective, too? Ehh, this will all blow over one way or the other so not gonna get real heated about it it.

Seriously, college football fans are by and large morons. Perception will be perception. And people will forget. That's my two cents, with or without video evidence.

You're misunderstanding the issue. Hoke's "punishment" of convicted felon Frank Clark is ridiculous and nothing any one of us would want out of a head coach at Ohio State; accordingly, Hoke's punishment of Clark is irrelevant in determining the proper punishment for Hyde.

Let's try this again.

Baugh committed a very serious crime. Underage drinking and fraud (fake id) and he got one game. Hyde committed no crime and people want 3 games?

WTF???

(Better?) :)

You calling me large or you calling me a moron?

I'll have you know my IQ is 107 - which is 7 points ABOVE average.

Anything less and shame on Urban.

For a non-distraction, recent events involving OSU players were a popular topic at the recent Big 10 media event as well as as with our buds at ESPN...

I think UM summed it up....
"The kids work too hard to have a couple of knuckleheads make some decisions that reflect on the entire program," Meyer said. " I guess it's part of the deal ... something that bothers me, bothers our staff, and is something we work very hard to avoid with our players."

Why use sCUM as a benchmark anyways? I'm going to let Meyer decide whats best for the team/university.

If it was not a distraction then why did UM answer like 12 of 15 questions on discipline issues. I'm as much of a die hard tOSU fan as the next person is, but I can take the blinders off and be realistic.

Well I believe the alleged victim was also suspended indefinitely from tOSU football activities.
