There was some discussion recently on MGOblog that the big ten has recently changed its rules on early enrollment. Supposedly no way now to move guys up to get bigger numbers(25+) in a class. The only way now is to greyshirt players. Just food for thought as it applies to Carlos.

True, but in Ohio State's case they rarely hit the 25 limit before the 85-man limit. 2004 is the only year that comes to mind and even then, it may have been right at 25.

Running back Carlos Hyde, a member of the 2009 OSU recruiting class, has enrolled and is attending classes this quarter, an athletic department spokesperson confirmed.

The power runner from Naples, Fla., had to take a detour through Fork Union (Va.) Military Academy in fall semester as he worked to raise the score on his ACT pre-enrollment test.
