RB Carlos "El Guapo" Hyde (Official Thread)

Here is my congratulation to Mr hyde, again! This young kid has traveled a path that may not be conventional to many's standard, but, in the end, he has arrived and accomplished!! Kudos to him.
I wish him all the best. stay focus on your path from here on out. keep your perspective straight. Hope you be a great student and an excellent football player here at THE Ohio State University.

RB Carlos Hyde is "good big," and by that I mean he's a sizable fellow, but not fat. Interesting to see if that gives him an edge on the No. 3 tailback spot, simply because he brings something different to the table than Saine or Dan Herron. My very very early guess is that Jordan Hall could end up taking more of a role in the return game this year than the backfield, giving Hyde and Berry a chance at some tailback snaps.

Practice No. 2: Left tackle intrigue (Blogging the Buckeyes)

I am excited to see Carlos this year. I don't think he will red shirt because of his size. If we are up by a touchdown or two and we get to the 4th quarter, I would not be surprised to see Carlos (with fresh legs) run "Dave" over and over until the other team proves they can stop it.

Very true, but only if he holds on to the ball well...

Showed great vision and a surprising burst for a back with Beanie sized legs. This kid is a player.

IMHO, He was the most impressive back in the spring game. Didn't have the best blocking but looked like a BEAST. This guy is going to be GOOD (when he gets on the field)

Hyde looked like our best back, which is no slight to Saine's efforts at all.

This young man could be very integral to our offensive as the year wears on! He proofed he is considerably more than just a power back in the Spring Game.....Again Vision, Speed, Good Balance and some elusiveness!
