RB Bri'onte Dunn (dismissed from team)

I'm excited to see him in this year's spring game. I really like the idea of Rod Smith and Bri'onte and Carlos running downhill. Throw in Jordan Hall and Braxton Miller and we will have a dynamic running attack.

Totally agreed. I look forward to seeing Bri'onte in action at this level.

Jim Naveau: Meyer let one recruit know who is the boss
March 17, 2012
Jim Naveau

Urban Meyer no doubt brings considerable charm and persuasion when he?s recruiting.

But apparently he can bring a little toughness, too, if he thinks it will be productive.

After praising early enrollee freshman running back Bri?onte Dunn as one of the team?s hardest workers as he looked forward to spring practice at a press conference last week, the new OSU football coach recalled what he described as a ?hard? conversation he had with Dunn late in the recruiting process.

Dunn was talking about going on a recruiting visit to another school. Reportedly, that school was Michigan, and Meyer let him know that wasn?t a good idea.

?Through the recruiting process we had to deal with a couple things with him. He started with I?m going to go visit here, I?m going to do this, what about this? Am I going to get the ball?,? Meyer said.

?Luke(Fickell) and I had a hard conversation with him on the speaker phone that you are not going to go there. If you do, you?d better like it because you?re going to go there,? Meyer said.

Now Meyer is high on Dunn. The freshman was one of the first two players he mentioned in his press conference, along with defensive lineman Johnathan Hankins.

Ohio State freshman running back Bri'onte Dunn, who graduated from GlenOak in December and enrolled in college early, runs during the first day of the Buckeyes' spring practices on March 28 in Columbus.

Dunn will play

Ohio State freshman Bri?onte Dunn, who graduated early from GlenOak High School and enrolled at Ohio State in January, is in the tailback rotation with Jordan Hall and Carlos Hyde. Head Coach Urban Meyer said Dunn will play as a freshman. ?He?s involved,? Meyer said of Dunn, who rushed for more than 5,000 yards in his high school career. ?I don?t think he?ll redshirt. I think we?ll play him on special teams and he?s also going to get some snaps. He?s done a very nice job. He?s a good kid, too. He?s doing all the right things off the field.?

6-1, 225,

followed by: power runner, big back, next Earl Campbell, next Beanie Wells...

I can believe durable and hard hitting, but he looks a tad on the small size to meet other descriptions. Or am I looking at old photos?

I'd certainly like to believe.

Actually I agree. He wasn't small, but he did not quite look like Beanie did as a freshman. Not that it really matters to me because he looked good running and catching, but I'm sure he'll bulk up a bit this year.

he doesnt quite have Beanies physical attributes, but his dedication and talent is the best I have seen since #28
