Scouting Perry at GlenOak | FridayNightOhio.com

One constant has been the running of junior Bri'onte Dunn, who is closing in on a 2,000-yard season. Dunn started the season with a bang by rushing for more than 300 yards in games against Massillon and Green, and soon thereafter he verbally committed to Ohio State after receiving a scholarship offer. Dunn hasn't been as explosive the second half of the season, but he's been no less productive. Dunn has had to shoulder the load with GlenOak's passing game being inconsistent this season. Alex Meredith started the season at QB, but Peter Brown and Christian Manns have each seen time at the spot. Manns started last week's game against Hoover, but Meredith could be back this week. Defensively, junior safety DeShawn Hall is attracting the attention of Division I college recruiters. Defensive end Luke Merrell was counted on as one of GlenOak's top performers but has been banged up the second half of the season.

Bottled up most of the night, GlenOak?s Bri?onte Dunn finished with 100 hard-earned yards on 31 carries to eclipse the 2,000-yard mark for the 4-6 Eagles. One of his longest runs of the night was a 12-yard scoring dash with 1:22 left in the third quarter that made it 27-14 GlenOak after Nate Hayes? PAT. The score came two plays after a fumbled Perry punt set up GlenOak deep in Panthers? territory.
