Maurice Clarett and Deshawn Wynn in 02 is the only one I can think of...akronbuck;1782408; said:Happy he's a buckeye. With Ball and Dunn being 2 of the highest ranked RB'S from Ohio/nation going to the same school is NUTS. I can't remember OSU ever doing that or having 2 rb's from Ohio being ranked that high except, in 1990 robert smith/OSU and Ricky Powers/michigan. If any other year we had 2 great rb's in ohio like them please let me know. thxs
I would have been happy with one but, both
Junior gets the job Dunn
GlenOak running back earning place in spotlight, has committed to Ohio State

PLAIN TWP.: As the winds gusted and the skies threatened, perfect conditions for the power running game presumed to be in store, two boys prepared for kickoff in GlenOak Stadium with a fist bump and a code of hope.
But ''Go Eagles'' weren't the words they exchanged Friday night before heading to their seats. Instead they said in unison, ''Bri'onte Dunn.''
Dunn, a 6-foot-1, 215-pound junior, was already the talk of the town before he announced his oral commitment to Ohio State on Monday. He has been described as a man among boys, piling up 1,261 yards and 14 touchdowns in the first five games for GlenOak (3-2).
Although he ran track as a sophomore, competing in the 100 meters, 200 meters and on relay teams, Dunn is not blazing fast. According to a report on ESPN.com, Dunn turned in an electronically timed 4.59 seconds in the 40-yard dash at an offseason combine, along with a 4.29 20-yard shuttle and 35.5-inch vertical jump. Scout.com said he clocked 4.69 in the 40 at a 2009 combine in Pittsburgh.
''He's got a rare combination of power and speed most kids his age don't come close to having,'' Garcia said. ''But he's still got a long way to go. He has all the tools to be a great player.''
Scott Kennedy of Scout.com described Dunn as a ''big, powerful back who runs with surprising speed, but it's his vision, patience and ability to break a tackle that make him a part of an elite group. He uses subtle feints to get a defender off balance and break a tackle. He's an instinctive runner that has a great feel for following and setting up his blocks. He's not a speed burner, but he has enough speed to take a run the distance.''
''I was very surprised they offered me,'' Dunn said. ''I liked Maurice Clarett, as a player he was awesome.''
Dunn said his uncle, Anthony Dunn, played for OSU coach Jim Tressel at Youngstown State.
Dunn still needs work on his pass blocking and receiving skills, but the hype is starting to build. After he totaled 628 yards against Massillon and Green, friends started to talk about the state's unofficial single-season rushing record. That mark is 3,439 yards by Tony Franklin of Bedford St. Peter Chanel in 2001.
Even if he dreams even bigger for next season, Dunn knows those kind of numbers are far from a ''Dunn deal.''
''People tell me that kind of stuff,'' he said. ''I don't look at it or pay attention to it.''
Bri'onte Dunn ? who verbally committed to Ohio State this week ? led GlenOak's offense with 103 yards on 28 carries, as the Bulldogs limited him to his lowest output of the season.

Anyway, I see we're offering Shell also.
Looks like we may have to come up with some kind of snappy nickname if we land this trio of RBs.
