RB Brandon "Zoom" Saine (official thread)

Man, I didn't know a kid this good was playing for Piqua (even though my father in-law goes to a few games each year). I guess I'm going to watch some high school football this coming season.

People look in to that too much. This area, north of Dayton, has a history of this sort of thing. I've seen kids from Troy and Piqua go places others didn't expect. TSUN fans around here aren't really what I would call fans. Most couldn't tell you when they won a championship last. Bottom line: he could be a Buckeye.

Doesn't Quinn's brother play for Piqua? We do have that active pipeline going for us.

Agreed, I grew up about 15 miles east of Piqua. That 75 corridor from Dayton to Lima is still a hotbed of Buckeye fans but was sort of forgotten [like many other parts of OH] during the Cooper era. As stated earlier, Saine was a scUM fan but there appears to be some sort of falling out. I am surprised they havent offered him yet. I imagine he isnt happy about that with them offering others already.

Yes, Quinn's brother Jafe will be a senior DE/TE this year for Piqua. LINK to 2005 Piqua Indian roster, he is at the bottom. Looks like a good sized boy, no measureables listed though.

Back to Saine, I haven't seen a recent picture but he his past pictures and listed measureables look like a prototypical RB - 6-0 and 190 +/- lbs. I dont know about his vision but his speed and body type appear to be perfect for a big10 RB.

He's just going to have to decide whether he wants to be an All Big 10 RB at OSU, win a national title, and multiple Big 10 Titles, or if he wants to be moved to defense and never heard from again on a middle of the pack Big 10 team up north. You would think the decision would be easy!

I played against Saine last year and the kid could definitely fly. He had 88 yards on 13 carries, which is almost 7 yards a carry. His line was just overmatched which hurt him on most carries, but he managed to break out a couple of long runs and Piqua's only score. We won 34-7, but I was really impressed of what he could do on his own.

Yea his name is Jafe Pitcock. He looks just like Quinn. Said he picked 92 instead of 90 cuz he is the 2nd Pitcock boy. 90 + 2 = 92. Pretty cool. he wants to go to OSU pretty bad. He had a tremendous block against the rival of Ohio Troy which made Piqua win that game.
