RB Brandon "Zoom" Saine (official thread)

I hope your friend is right, the running game will win or lose the game for us.

If Saine plays the way we know and expected he would when he came here, we should be fine.

I hope they throw to him at least 3 times, because it sounds like the Ducks want to bring pressure and rattle Pryor.

FWIW I heard that exact same thing via someone else who observed practice a little while ago.

Ater seeing the stop and go Paul for Nebraska just pulled off against Arizona for a big TD... I hope Oregon brings the heat, man's up in the secondary and Saine burns whoever they stick on him (doesn't really matter who's on him with his speed) with a nice wheel route for a long TD. I would love to see this early in the first quarter, we all know Saine has the hands and speed to pull it off

Whoever this new poster is, he knows his stuff!!!!!!!!! Even got the quarter right!!! Apparently Saine hates him though and decided to get tackled at the 5 yard line :oh:

Two of the best plays of B. Saine's career (so far). 1:50 in the first clip, and beginning of second clip. Dancin' down the sideline like Lynn Freakin' Swann! If those plays came in the 4th Q, instead of the 1st, he might have been MVP.

I know we have so many outstanding RBs next year, but I think Zoom needs to be the primary one with more carries than he had this year. I think he has more explosiveness and has more big play ability. I could see him as the pure #1 with Boom/Berry/Hall fighting for carries.

Agreed. I'm tired of hearing Saine being described as a small back or not an every-down back. The guy's 6'1" and 220lbs and he carries people. He just happens to have the added benefits of track speed and wonderful hands. What a mismatch he can create.

IMO,the only thing that is preventing him from being a star is his patience/vision/decisiveness. Other than that he posesses a great height/weight/speed ratio,is an excellent reciever and decent in pass blocking, IMO,he has a lot of good things going for him
