RB Antonio Pittman (Official Thread)

A.P. ran an unofficial 4.44 40 on his first attempt...the other A.P. (Peterson) ran a 4.38 & Walker (for ND) ran a 4.57 for comparison. Good first run for Antonio.

4.42 on second attempt.

So lemme get this straight...

Pitt ran a faster 40 than Gonzo?

What is goin on?
I believe all of these are unofficial times... some have listed Gonzo at 4.38 , others at 4.41.

Either way, Gonzo ran a respectable time on a slow indy track, while Pitt turned in an outstanding time.

obviously, butch, eric, the rest of the coaches, and pitt saw this coming, and a lot of lists are going to be changing, pitt had good production, 0 injury concerns, no fumble issues, and now we know very solid size, and elite rb speed, guys like that usually don't see the second round

Only 0.04 slower than the clear-cut #1 RB in the draft...not too shabby. Dare we say he may be smelling the first round aroma?

I wouldn't be surprised.

Santonio Holmes worked out great for the Squeelers, maybe they'll dip back into the Ohio State well?

Baltimore? I don't think Jamal Lewis is going to be there much longer.

NY Giants obviously have a need as was pointed out earlier.

Does anyone know if Eric Turner is leaving the Chargers? I could see San Diego picking up Pittman there if they don't have a Wide Receiver rated that highly.....

FFLivewire has Pittman at 4.42 - 3rd fastest of the backs running thus far. If he aces the skill drills and shows good hands this will have helped his draft stock - a lot.

Gary Russell the ex-Gopher RB ran 4.80 (yikes - and not in a good way).
FL-RB DeShawn Wynn ran a 4.45, and reportedly CA-RB Marshawn Lynch ran a poorer than expected time (per Footballs's Future) of 4.52, though the FFLiveWire report indicates a respectable (though not Pittmanesque :) time of 4.49.
