I'd expect a drawn out search followed by an underwhelming hire. They just have to hope they can strike gold with a lesser-known coach.

Didn't do [censored], couldn't recruit to save his life, lost complete disciplinary control - scratch that - had ZERO disciplinary control over the players
sharkonwheels;1822731; said:I loved the OB more than most - but - did ya ever actually GO to the OB in it's final 10 or so years?
Dude - it was a dilapidated POS.
It was owned by the city of Miami, and with all the greed, corruption, and money-stealing BS going on, they didn't want to put a dime into it. They wanted UM to fit the bill for refurbishment, and you're talking a few hundred million dollars.
But yeah, for the most part, I agree - I HATE Dolphin Stadium, pro player, landshark, Sun Life, WHATEVER the name of that shithole is...

USC & UCLA are the only big boy programs who can get away with not having a real on-campus stadium. Nobody else has a Rose Bowl or LA Coliseum just lying around.

I thought discipline was Coker's mo.:tongue2:
So any speculation on your coach shark or anybody you want in particular?

Hmmm...
I dunno...
Wish list?
Leach wouldn't be bad... I liked him at TTU. Fugging Craig James and his pansy-ass son....
Gruden would be good, but I don't see THAT happening.
Same with Cowher - he can go right back in the NFL whenever he wants - he left on HIS terms...
Other mentioned Bellotti - don't know much about him...
Who do you guys think would be a good match?
Um, save the Dickrod funnies - if they hire Dickrod, I'm finding a cliff to drive off of. In Florida, that would be a LONG ass drive...

I'm sure he could put a good staff together as well. There is one big ? mark. Does he bolt for Florida if that position opens up?
jlb1705;1822776; said:Actually, I was thinking Mullen would be a good target for your team - especially if Harbaugh is off the table for one reason or another. One of the objections with cutting RichRod loose is the idea that he changed the entire program from a philosophical standpoint, and that most coaches would have to tear it all down and start from scratch again. With Mullen, that may not be the case quite as much. Any coach that comes in to replace Rodriguez is going to have to blow it up to some extent just because of the dearth of talent and disarray that the program is in. Mullen seems to me like the type that could find some useful parts in the scrap heap, while a guy like Harbaugh would probably have to blow it up completely.
Then again, Mullen is actually a PA native, maybe he's waiting on Paterno to finally kick the bucket.
