Yeah I heard that just the other day.... He had no plans on trading Moss.Buckeye Maniac said:I thought their new owner said he wasn't going to trade Moss. What happened to change his mind?
The Minnesota Vikings have reached an agreement in principle to trade Pro Bowl receiver Randy Moss to the Oakland Raiders, a source close to the situation told SI.com on Wednesday.
The deal involving Moss cannot be consummated until March 2, the first day of the league's new financial year. But a source of the trade talks between the Raiders and Vikings said a trade is "likely" and that compensation has been agreed to. The Vikings will receive Oakland's first-round pick this year (No. 7) and an unidentified veteran player -- possibly cornerback Philip Buchanon.
"There are still some hurdles," the source said. "It's not a slam dunk. But the deal is in place."
If completed, the trade of Moss will give the Raiders one of the deepest receiving corps in the NFL. Oakland reached a contract agreement Tuesday with potential free agent Jerry Porter

great. if i had to name my 5 favorite players.....harris and buchanon would be on that list. actually.....top 4, i cant even name a 5th guy i like on the team. thats how much i love this team right now.stxbuck said:The player to be named later is either Napoleon Harris or Phillip Buchanon, from what I have seen. This is a pretty good deal for the Vikings-with the 7th pick they can get Braylon Edwards or Mike Williams, upgrade their D, clear out a lockerroom cancer, and still have their 1st round pick. Even without Moss, the Vikes O is still pretty darn good, and it seems that Daunte Culpepper realizes that Moss' departure is for the good of the team. As for the Raiders........I'm a fan and I expect nothing less.....this is pure Al Davis, for better or for worse.....
Dante DiTrapano, Moss' agent, told The Associated Press on Wednesday that the Vikings and the Oakland Raiders had "come to an agreement on Randy playing for Oakland next year."
Neither the Vikings nor the Raiders would confirm the deal, which was first reported by The St. Paul Pioneer Press.
DiTrapano said he didn't know the terms of the deal, but the Pioneer Press reported the Vikings would get linebacker Napoleon Harris, along with the seventh overall pick and a late-round pick in the upcoming draft.
The deal cannot become official until March 2, the start of the NFL's fiscal year.

Red McCombs has agreed to sell the team to Arizona businessman Reggie Fowler, a deal that still needs to be approved by the NFL.
A spokeswoman for Fowler said it would be "inappropriate for Reggie to be commenting at this point" because McCombs still owns the team and is making all the decisions.
