I really don't care for the Raiders much... but that's pretty sh% way to handle the situation.

Don't care for the Raiders either, this is just bad business, and in my opinion, bad for football.

I'm just rooting for the integrity of the NFL, which is so superior to the integrity of MLB, imo, (particularly in terms of a level playing field), product on the field, entertainment value, fan appreciation, burgeoning world interest, etc., that with all the arrests, murders and off field shenanigans a few knuckle heads have insisted on perpetuating, and now, along with a seemingly mean-spirited(with a track record;Shannahan) renegade, out of control, idiot running one of its storied franchises, then I view this as another damaging black-eye.

I think he's done a good job, and he's a fresh kid. Never know, Kiffin might be looking to Ohio somewhere for a new job.

Five coaches in six years...sell the damn team, Al. It's over.

Five coaches in six years is hard to comprehend.. what's even more amazing is that the best coach he had in that span was handled the worst. Kiffin's going to go somewhere and do a good job. St. Louis would be smart to get a guy that players like to play for. Maybe Kiffin will be a little hesitant of going into another sour situation though..

With apologies to the Raiders fans amongst us, this is a new low.

They're only going to go to court over the contract. Why not just pay the guy out and send him on his way instead of picking such a bizarre acrimonius route?

Oh wait..it is Al Davis.

Kiffin was actually improving that team, so I can't figure this out. Sure, they fell apart at the end of games, but we went through that with Martys first year, where we lost like 6 games by a total of 13 points, all 4th quarter losses. I understand the field goal was dumb, but at least the players wanted to play for him. Oh well, not that I can really complain, this just means another couple years of adjustments for the Raiders, maybe we can extend that streak to 14-15 :p
