QB1 Julian Sayin (National Champion)

I think that yesterday was a laboratory for this young man and he got a bit overwhelmed by it in the first half. Ohio also appeared to be doing some things for which he was unprepared or at least didn't expect. He's going to grow from that and I expect to see better from him in Washington.

Who we saw yesterday in very unlikely to be who we see in a national championship run. A bit of a down day may be a great thing to keep his and fans' expectations feet on the ground.

I mean judging by how other QBs have played around the country and the OSU Defense I'd say even a performance like this from him could win a title lolz

Not yet. I would agree with that if he had eaten that sack. He needs to have it pounded into his head that he has the best defense. If you have to take a sack, take a sack. I was fine with him missing a few reads and letting the ball go late a few times, but you can NOT turn the ball over like that.

The only way teams can score, is lucky hailmary type passes, or if the offense turns the ball over. I will be shocked if the OSU offense has to score more than 28 to win a game this year.

Through three games, Sayin has six passes of 40+ yards (five for TDs)....

But inside the 10-yard line, he is just 3 for 7 for 16 yards, a TD, an INT, and a sack.

A lot of QBs have trouble when the field is compressed, but Sayin really needs to be better when the Buckeyes get close to the goal line, especially because they don't have a Quinshon Judkins to hammer it home.

On some of those 3rd down inside the 5 situations, I would have liked to see them try to pound it with the RB rather than trying to be cute with the passes. The one in particular when they were going to go for it on 4th anyway. Passes inside the 5 aren't easy, especially when you are strictly a dropback passer. That might also be a place for the Kienholz package.
