QB/WR Terrelle Pryor ('10 Rose, '11 Sugar MVP)

Once a callow rookie, Terrelle Pryor returns to Wisconsin as the poised leader of the Buckeyes: Bill Livingston

As a raw freshman, Terrelle Pryor had his first big winning moment with Ohio State as he led a Buckeyes comeback in the final minutes against Wisconsin at raucous Camp Randall Stadium. This Saturday, a similar result could push Pryor into the forefront of the Heisman Trophy race -- as well as keep OSU headed toward a Big Ten title.

COLUMBUS, Ohio -- Wisconsin at night, with the upper deck of Camp Randall Stadium in Madison rocking at the start of the fourth quarter as the students jump in unison, seems like the epicenter of a quake.

Wisconsin at night, with the noise engulfing the opposition and the inmates of the Madtown madhouse trying to will the Badgers to victory.

Wisconsin at night is a very tough place to play.

Yet that game made Terrelle Pryor's reputation as a raw freshman two years ago. It is that game now that can validate his top-ranked team's laurels and his own serious Heisman Trophy candidacy.

For most of the game two years ago, Wisconsin owned the night.

Pryor, a 19-year-old freshman, trotted out for the last-chance drive when the Buckeyes were down four points and nothing less than a touchdown would do. He led a long drive in the last minutes, lasering into the end zone on an option keeper when the baffled Badgers had only one defender to take both Pryor and the pitch man, tailback Beanie Wells. The Buckeyes slipped away like thieves in the night with a 20-17 victory.

I think now that we are coming down to the meat and bones part of our schedule we will get to see how TP has really progressed. I think everyone has seen a tremendous amount of improvement in his passing abilities, however we haven't exactly played anyone with a defense this year (with the exception of maybe Miami). Everyone saw what happened with Denard last week when he actually played a team that fielded a defense instead of the swiss cheese that he's been running through all year.

I am hoping last year's Rose Bowl game and the confidence he has built in the beginning of this season will carry him the rest of the way. If he can continue to put up similar numbers in the second half of this season as he did in the first, especially on the road against teams like Iowa and Wisconsin, I think he will be in good shape for a Heisman and a BCS championship game. I think we are going to find out how far he has come over this next month.

They were good throws, but he has to make those decisions faster and get the ball out sooner. /nitpicking

The bomb on the second drive where Sanzo was wide open deep but Pryor's hesitation allowed the safety to run over and swat the ball away just as it arrived...he throws that ball 1/2 second earlier he has another 50-60 yards and another TD in his passing stats.

Right, but Terrelle wasn't making decisions this well last year against the cupcakes. Just comparing the first few games of the last three years he's head and shoulders above where he was. I'm not basing any of this on stats. I'm going by what I know about football and what I've seen from him this year. If he shits the bed against the meat of our schedule, I'll be fucking shocked.

Perfect. Get him good and [censored]ed before a big game. Mark May didn't write that article did he?

Right on. As long as he stays under (self) control, I hope he is angry and out to prove something Saturday night.

And that goes for the whole team. I don't want TP to be pumped up and Justin Boren to be mildly amused....

And the D? I want to see our front seven get PI$$ED!

would love to see TP throw for 4 TDs while the Defense picks up 5 or 6 sacks and limits Wisky to 70 or 80 yards rushing. Sweet.

Go Bucks!
