QB/WR Terrelle Pryor ('10 Rose, '11 Sugar MVP)

I remeber just like it was yesterday when a lot of the fans were criticizing coach Tress as well as coach Sis. for not developing Terrelle into the quarterback we all thought he would be. Well look at him now. So proud of him and the hard work he has put in to be as successful as he as well as the team can possibly be. It feels great to be able to watch him mature and grow all these years into a fine quarterback and a fine young man as well.

Certainly the coaching staff deserves a lot of credit for Pryor's progress. Terrelle also deserves a lot of credit, for his work ethic, focus and humble attitude. The kid came to OSU to learn, has always respected his coaches, listened, taken criticism, taken heat in the media and turned all of that into effort on the practice field and in the film room. What we're seeing is what happens when otherworldly athletic talent meets effort, determination and great teaching.

Count me in as I agree with the above posts. Somewhere around the end of last year I think something changed for him and this is the result. I still want him to put up great numbers vs a proven defense like Iowa. I think that game and this week at wisconsin will tell us how big of a step he has taken, but he has definately made huge improvements since last year.

Losing to Purdue and having the ball taken out of his hands.

What should really frighten opponents is that, similar to Troy Smith in '05, the lightbulb appears to have just come on. The game has slowed down and TP can see the whole field and anticipate, rather than just react. Also like Troy, Terrelle happens to be coming into his own as a pocket passer halfway through his Jr year.

After the abysmal performance at Happy Valley in '05, OSU didn't lose another game until the title game the following season. 19 straight wins. TP is currently piloting a 12 game winning streak, and looks better and better each successive week.

Wisconsin is by far the biggest test of the season to date, but if he shows the same poise and decision making in Madison as he did last week, it is hard envisioning any team slowing him down.

They should have moved him to WR to make way for Bauserman. :bonk:

Offensive Player of the Week, but not a winning performance grade for TP in the Indiana game.

And offensively it was Terrelle Pryor. Someone asked me at lunch did he grade a winning performance. Not quite, but he's getting there. He's getting closer. But he did a heck of a job, was 24 out of 30 and seemed to have a good command of what they were doing and took a step forward in our opinion.

If I could interject a serious comment...

He probably gets dinged for taking extra steps and not getting the ball out on time. So even the play where he did the penta-hitch throw to Saine for the long TD probably didn't get a perfect score.

You may now return to making puns out of spelling errors.
