QB/WR Terrelle Pryor ('10 Rose, '11 Sugar MVP)

I wonder what happens with him now. He's a backup at best in the NFL, but he'll never be a starter, his gam doesn't translate to the NFL like it did in college. And the arguments I've read elsewhere say he should switch positions, but that's laughable, because at this stage of his career its not logical to think he can just switch to WR and TE.

Perhaps he is a better team leader, I don't know the guy, but the passing stats are very similar (both pretty bad), but the rushing I would imagine would give him the slight edge.

Carr started 16 games in 2014: 58% passing for about 3270 yards, 92 yds rushing
Pryor started 9 games in 2013: 57% passing for about 1800 yards, 576 yds rushing

Perhaps Carr improved more through the season, while Pryor maintained fairly steady overall yds, but as the season went on he ran more and passed less. I would say Carr is a quarterback that is closer to the 'not going to lose the game for you, but not going to win it' type, while Pryor was the 'I will win games for you, but will also cost you the game sometimes.' Perhaps that isn't what they wanted to do, but on paper I would say Pryor was more productive. Either way this is probably the end for him as a starter. Shame seahawks didn't keep him as he would be a good backup there with the style offense. Another backup for the Jets?

Stats don't always tell the whole story. I remember watching a couple of Raiders games in 2013, and TP looked really bad at times. Yes, he could still make a ridiculous play here and there, but fundamentally, he was not a good QB. Unfortunately, he just looks like one of those guys that is/was a freak athlete, and a tremendous college player that just wasn't cut out to play QB in the NFL. See also- Young, Vincent.

Why not? He already knows the playbook and by default the routes the receivers run. No reason why he can't translate his talents to TE, WR, and a huge-assed H back...

As has been discussed before, he has yet to display the make-up for those positions when it comes to contact. Not to say he couldn't change, but that mental make up isn't necessarily any easier to change than his QB fundamentals.

If he's told straight up "You're not going to be a QB, so if you want to keep getting paid you move to [insert position here]", I think his desire to keep getting big paychecks might convince him to do so...
