'Im sorry, you're not on the list...'

Former Ohio State quarterback Terrelle Pryor will be standing outside the velvet ropes when the Supplemental Draft occurs on August 17th...though a late repreive is still possible.

Jason LaConfora of NFL Network reports that Pryor's name is not on a list of eligible players sent to teams by the league. Pryor's agent, Drew Rosenhaus, countered on Twitter that he "spoke with NFL today and were told no decision made yet regarding Terrelle's eligibility for the supp draft."

In other words, stay tuned.

Terrelle Pryor could still be eligible
Posted on: August 9, 2011

It is accurate that Terrelle Pryor, the former Ohio State quarterback, isn't eligible for the upcoming supplemental draft, as one report states. But that's slightly deceptive. The more accurate statement is that he isn't eligible...yet.

I'm told by a league official that teams are informed of a player's eligibility as their applications are reviewed. So the fact Pryor wasn't on this league communique basically means nothing. He could be on the next one. Or the next one.

Now he could definitely still be ruled out it's just that he isn't yet.

The bigger problem for Pryor is what teams think of him. General managers continue to tell me they aren't impressed and the belief is that he's a marginal NFL talent. Some believe Pryor needs to spend a few years in Canada before taking on the NFL.
