QB/WR Terrelle Pryor ('10 Rose, '11 Sugar MVP)

The former Ohio State standout refined his footwork and ran through controlled scrambling drills. Anderson also had him throw pass patterns on which NFL scouts would evaluate quarterback prospects.

Pryor declined to comment about the workout.

Pryor displayed a quick release and zipped passes on long sideline and corner routes. He also showed his touch on a couple of long passes and crossing patterns.

just watched the 2010 Iowa game on BTN.

Say what you want about TP's superstar attitude, but the guy always gave everything on the field.

You all remember, Posey drops a perfect pass in the end zone on 3d and ten, OSU down by 4 points, a few minutes left in the game.
So on 4th down, Terrelle takes it right, then cuts left ( and as soon as he cuts left, Matt Millen says, "he's got it") and gets 14 yards on 4th and 10. Sanzo catches a ball at the 3 yard line and then Boom pushes it in on 2nd and goal. The dude refused to lose that (road) game.

I hope he can keep his head together until he gets onto a roster and gets a chance to make it in the NFL.

I am not saying I wanted him to marry my daughter; i'm just saying the guy was a hell of a Buckeye.

Good luck, TP!

While your enthusiasm for Dane is fun to read at times, your posts about TP are starting to annoy me.

Sorry you're annoyed. But I'm not going to defend him or placate anyone on this forum with a lot of non-sense about him. He acted selfishly, he took down a great coach, his actions contibuted to a vacated season, and he was not even in the same class as Dane when it came to being a Buckeye. I think he should vacate his MVPs.

So this will be my last TP post. I wish him well in the NFL.

pretty sure he didn't take down a coach. As I remember it, there were 5 guys getting tatoos, not just TP. And even if it had only been one guy, it was his coach who made the choice that sealed his own fate. TP was immature, but so is the notion that he somehow took doen his coach or this program.

Status still undecided, Pryor seeks a meeting with Goodell
Posted by Mike Florio on August 14, 2011

The supplemental draft is scheduled to be held in only three days. And the NFL still hasn?t decided whether former Ohio State quarterback Terrelle Pryor will be included.

Per a source with knowledge of the situation, Pryor and his representatives hope to meet with Commissioner Roger Goodell on Monday or Tuesday in order to get an answer, and ultimately to get in.

It?s becoming more and more obvious that, with all due respect and deference, the NFL is jerking Pryor around. At this point, even if they let him in, he?ll be hard pressed to conduct a Pro Day workout before Wednesday.

We?ll have more details about Pryor?s case for inclusion later. Apparently, Pryor already has shown that it was inevitable he was going to get kicked out of Ohio State before he announced that he was leaving. That fact, if true, would undercut the notion that he?s being excluded because the league doesn?t want players to be able to become eligible for the supplemental draft by quitting school and hiring an agent.

Heard Mike Greenberg today chastising the NFL for playing games with Terrelle. Not sure if he has any real info or not, but he claims they are being unfair to Terrelle by not yet making him eligible for the supplemental draft.

Also reported that TP has a meeting scheduled with Roger Goodell.

Good luck, TP!

Opinions on how he handled his off the field business aside, anyone who saw TP on Gruden's QB camp show got to see how polished and knowledgeable he was in his discussion with Gruden. He clearly had a firm grasp of the strategy and terminology (and reading defenses) required to be a success in the NFL - at least if what we saw on the show was representative of his skills. He had an air of confidence that shows something of his leadership qualities and his demeanor in the huddle.

You do not need to be a Tebow goody goody to be a leader - see Big Ben. You need to be good at what you do on the field. He was/is very good at that.

Agreed. While I do not personally know the kids or JT, it was a combination of people and factors that created this situation. Young men doing something (Mem for Tats) they knew they shouldn't do and a coach who should have handed out the punishment when he found out about it. The players and the coach are at fault and deserve the punishment they received...as sad as it may be.

If he's not eligible for the supp draft, I think its clear that someone either in the NCAA or ESPN had an influence on the decision. They want him to talk about his transgressions at OSU, and to TP's credit, he doesn't seem inclined to give them the satisfaction.
