Actually he was a wide reciever up until his junior year of high school

Actually no.
As a junior Pryor led the Jayhawks to a 14-2 record and Class AA state finals. He completed 92 of 163 passes for 1,732 yards and 15 touchdowns - with just five interceptions. He also ran 197 times for 1,676 yards and 28 touchdowns. On defense he had 10 interceptions. During his sophomore year he ran 78 times for 663 yards and 10 touchdowns, while completing 56 of 106 passes for 719 yards and six touchdowns.

in fact I just bought his autograph on Ebay.

Anyone else find the irony in this?

Great player on the field and he made some minor mistakes, I mean he's just a kid, and for that I have nothing but good things to say about him when people ask me how I feel about Pryor.

Uh, he made more than some "minor mistakes". He made some major mistakes, and to boot - A LOT of them. I don't wish him ill will or anything, in fact I wish him the best. But to pretend that he's a victim and giving him a pass for being a kid is just asinine IMO. He's a grown man, and no matter what people say - at 18-22 years old, one knows the difference between right and wrong. I don't buy that just a kid bullshit. If you can vote in our country and fight to defend it, you're not longer a "kid" in my book.

He's 21-22 years old right now... he's obviously got some maturity issues to deal with, as well as some sort of complex he's developed since he's been praised and groomed as the next big thing for so long now, but lets be real here: TP isn't a criminal. He didn't commit an armed robbery, he didn't use a dead woman's credit card, he didn't pull a gun on people at McDonalds, he didn't finance an illegal dogfighting ring, he broke NCAA rules that said he couldn't sell his own memorabilia. Granted, I realize the reason behind the rules, and I realize many other allegations that may or may not be true are out there as well, but at the end of the day he's just a kid who made some mistakes, he's not a monster as some are making him out to be. But at the end of the day, I know we're all upset about OSU being out under the microscope and all, and facing NCAA sanctions, and people are looking for someone to blame, and I understand that.

He's not a vicitm by any means, but he's not deserving of the treatment he's receiving imo. He made some mistakes, at an age where all sorts of people make mistakes and learn from them, and its my hope that TP does learn from these mistakes and comes out of it a better person.

Wish him all the best. I'm hearing (ESPN) that us Buckeye fans all are blaming Terrelle Pryor and hate him, but I don't feel that way at all, in fact I just bought his autograph on Ebay. I'm just wondering how other fans feel about him or is this just another ESPN lie? Great player on the field and he made some minor mistakes, I mean he's just a kid, and for that I have nothing but good things to say about him when people ask me how I feel about Pryor.

He's not a kid and he made some pretty clear violations while he was here. Hard not to fault him for that. He doesn't deserve all the blame for what has happened to OSU, but he does deserve a share of it (along with everyone else involved). This is no ESPN lie - TP hasn't done much off the field to make fans love him.

Fuck your pretty clear violations. He deserves a share of the blame. Not ridicule and scorn. Funny how when he wasn't "doing much off the field to make fans love him" no one was bitching so long as he was winning.

I agree with your general sentiment, but I will say that there were plenty of folks with "concern" over maturity issues. Granted, EVERYONE liked the winning, but it seems that concerns about his maturity followed him his entire career.

But again, I agree with you that he deserves some modest share of the blame for making some poor choices, but whatever predicament we're in now, is related more to JTs decisions than TPs.

He deserves his share.... The excuse that he is young is NOT an excuse! If my 7 year old knows the rules, and chooses to break them, He gets punished. As a society, the more we keep making excuses for young people when they screw up, the worse our society will become.... I believe we should be teaching our young people to stand up, raise their hand and say "I made a mistake" on their own volition. When someone owns their mistake is when I can start looking past it. Until that happens, I don't think they have learned a damn thing.

I'm pretty sure TP has stood up and said he made mistakes.
