QB/WR Terrelle Pryor ('10 Rose, '11 Sugar MVP)

I totally agree. The white challenger and other have said to be loners cause his chargers motor blew up. Something it not right here I know that. I've had people come up to me saying "Ohio state bought Pryor an 80k sports car". Yu know how it goes. 35-45-60-80.

I saw him driving a Gumpert at the Baskin-Robbins!

I feel shattered. I feel so destroyed by this. My illusions have been shattered. I just read the SI article....is it ever going to end; will they keep coming out of the walls and attack, until they have the Buckeyes right where they want them....a program destroyed by it's own success?

Up to 28 players...? Rigging lottery's at football camps? A man of modesty who wore his S&G sweater on Saturday afternoons; now reduced to a two-faced devil, with scarlet eyes stealing kid's money all for the cause of winning the next recruit.

In all of it, despite SI's attempt's to the contrary; JT is guilty of a cover-up. Guilty of not 24/7 nanny-stating his players with all else speculation dripping from the teeth of this monster that rejoices in the destruction of Ohio State Football.

They will not be satisfied with JT's resignation. They will not be satisifed until they have hypocritically taken Ohio State to the woodshed and bestowed upon them a punishment unfitting, and purely unjust...because as they will say; somebody had to be made the example.

Vacating wins form 2010 almost a certainty, loss of scholarships - likely, loss of bowl eligibility - a very good chance; yet the hypocrits march on....all of them.

GS is still telling only what he must. It is time to come clean! It is time to start again, and hope that it will not be a stretch as long as 1978 to 2002; before the buckeyes can recover....and that means time to clean house. If Pryor had a fleet of cars...can anyone claim to be in the dark? Did he not once drive by smiling at other OSU officials and offer a friendly wave? Did not one of them inquire?

JT has paid the price; and if GS says one word to dump the sh*t from this program back onto JT's back, I certainly hope that Smith who is essentially commiting the same fatal error as JT earns hias lot as a former OSU atheltic department official.

OSU has a major price to pay; alumni will pay the price, fans will take the abuse of the vast Ohio State hating conspiracy for years, the current players (except those involved) will pay the price..and what a price to pay. As an economy sucks, and things are so difficult for so many people, tOSU football is one thing always out there to feel so positive about, to look forward to after a hot summer....but now; even that has been so compromised, it could take years to recover.

As for the players; though it really grieves me to say it...I hope you feel the pain also. And I hope there is no more that you have been withholding. As for Pryor, now a second charge...I hope you never wear the S&G again. I am angry that you sold the stuff, I am angry that you have been taught to reveal more information only as necessary. I am angry that your memorabilia means so little to you that you would trade it for a tattoo. I am angry that JT made his mistake in covering up these rather minor offenses. I am angry that JT pays the price as GS runs from this as fast as he can....but most of all, I am angry that you have given this radical group of a-holes from across the country the biggest win they could hope for; not just a one game defeat, a defeat that could last a decade.

and i offer a perfect solution that is a win/win for buckeye fans and browns fans...pryor leaves, enters the supplemental draft, gets drafted or somehow ends up with the PITTSBURGH STEELERS

pure speculation on my part, but I believe the next "bombshell" will be that a player/players were stealing equipment and selling for cash.

Dohrmann has now said he believes it's possible Tressel didn't come forward b/c he knew equipment was missing. Dohrmann believes Pryor may have sold up to 20 items including helmets, cleats, and game worn pants.

It brings up a good question....how would the equipment managers not realize they were missing helmets/pants/shoulder pads?

It just keeps piling on.

I've seen several mentions of it, but the report of, I believe, 6 pairs of cleats stolen from the locker-room will certainly be re-visited.

Can't believe everything you read. Not saying some ain't true, but c'mon, rigging raffles? I laugh at that....

Call me a homer if you like.

If they have several hundred pair in circulation at any time, including those actually in players' possession, I don't see that missing 6 of any particular equipment part would raise any red flags.

I doubt whether, in the past, they kept track of these things via bar codes, since they got the damn things free from Nike. Likely to change now, of course.

Chasing down the potential for, and counteracting, violations at a program like tOSU is like computer programmers trying to stay ahead of the hackers.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but players have individual helmets and pads. You'd think they would know a certains players equipment keeps going missing....plus, they did file a report for his and 5 other cleats, so they obviously felt it was important enough to report.

I'm not sure what the athletic department's motivation was for reporting the cleats as being stolen. I also don't know what kind of inventory control the football department has in place. These would be interesting things to know.

COLUMBUS, Ohio ? University administrators said Friday that they are keeping an eye on Web sites and memorabilia shops after someone stole several pairs of shoes from the Ohio State football team locker room. The thefts happened after last week's Penn State game, 10TV News reported.
School officials said 10 pairs of shoes were stolen from the locker room, including some belonging to Terrelle Pryor, Daniel Herron, Cameron Heyward, Chimdi Checkwa and Devier Posey.
SPECIAL SECTION: Ohio State Football
The thief stole four pairs of shoes belonging to Pryor alone, 10TV News reported.
The university said the thefts were likely an inside job, and added that Web sites like eBay and Craigslist were being watched in case the shoes are put up for sale.

This seems oddly coincidental...

I really think we've come across the crux of the issue and now know what Dorhmann was after. I'm about 95% certain this was what Dohhmann wanted to report but probably didn't have the concrete evidence.

These kids were "stealing" their own gear, and maybe gear of other teammates to make a few bucks. University realizes equipment has been stolen, files a police report, but the fact of the matter is, the thieves were on the team. I think that would make sense in regards to Tressel covering up...that's a massive story that his star QB is stealing equipment and selling for cash/tattoos....

But Tressel knew of the tattoos in April?

You're telling me he didn't try to set Pryor straight back then? I thought that was the common theme- he tried to handle it in house.

Then again, key word is try and I guess the SI title may make sense.

I don't know, if any of this develops, then Tressel was truly more idiotic then I ever imagined. Can't get walked over like that.

Dohrmann believes there are at least 20 Terrelle Pryor items out in the market-place. That report states 4 cleats...so there were obviously other times his equipment went missing, and maybe they didn't file a police report.

What if Tressel never addressed the situation with the players and it came to a head with the University police report?

I think there are a lot of different angles this could be taken...in the SI article, Pryor is quoted by that tattoo shop employee as saying he "gets what I want" in regards to equipment.

If it's out-and-out theft, and there have been reports of missing equipment filed, I don't see how this can hurt the program much...what are you going to do, frisk everyone who goes in and out of the complex?

Again, I know that D1 track athletes routinely take their warmup and practice shoes provided by the school and sell them. In those athletes' cases, it's usually because they want to practice in different gear from the team provider, and they use the sales to offset the cost of their own preferred gear.

Is that "theft?" I'd argue it's not. Selling cleats in order to pay for tats? That sounds like theft. But where one draws the line isn't straightforward in the gray area in between.

No, but I think it's an issue if your star QB is stealing equipment and selling for cash/tattoos....

Dohrmann played the angle pretty hard that there is a lot of Pryor gear out in the market-place. He also thinks Tressel knew that and that i sthe reason he didn't disclose the "tat-5" issues.

I think it's pretty plausible.

I also think it is extremely coincidental that of the players who had gear stolen Pryor, Posey, and Herron are all listed.

*It's one thing to say Pryor and co. were trading awards and rings for cash/tattoos....it goes to another level when you find out they may have been stealing from the University and selling equipment out of the locker-room.
