QB/WR Terrelle Pryor ('10 Rose, '11 Sugar MVP)

I've been a well-documented Pryor supporter for a long time. All of this said, it's time for him to go. I'll leave it at that.

Well put, "phat-daddy"

Reality sets in at some point, and this young athlete will find it out in a real bad way. "Buckeye" fans love true "Buckeyes" and we lost a great one today. Not gonna place any blame or point any fingers, but I' guarantee one simple fact. Young Mr. Pryor will NEVER play a "Home" game within that beautiful stadium that we Buckeye lovers refer to as "The Shoe." If the day ever comes that he stands behind center in a football game played in Columbus, Ohio, my feeling is that he'll get booed right out of the stadium. Sad as it is, but this kid has already used up all of the "cheers" that he was alotted here. He is alone, and on his own.

Peace

I'd rather we have no dirt either, but that's not reality. Reality is that college football is played by teenaged kids who can't be monitored 24/7. Columbus media members are all willing to dig up some dirt on the home team, with a select group willing to go to some pretty extreme lengths. You'll say that's their job, and I don't disagree, just pointing out the differences between us and the SEC schools. I guess my point is that SI could dig this type of story up for any school it so desired. That doesn't make it OK, but it makes it hard to swallow.

If SI could do this to any school they wanted, they'd take them all down. SI is a business. They're going to sell a ton of magazines, they've already gotten a ton of web hits. If they can do this to everyone, they'd do it. They have nothing to gain by not doing it as much as they can.

The kids can't be monitored 24/7. I do agree. But there is no excuse whatsoever for the amount of shit that went down in Columbus. It's going to suck, but the punishment will be deserved. It's become apparent that stuff was out of control in Columbus.

We were all so quick to make assumptions about Auburn. When it's our school, many are totally dismissive of people they cheered their hearts out for only a year ago. It's denial. OSU fucked up in a big way, and it's been rough and won't get any easier.

I love the fact that Pryor has become the poster boy for this whole mess. What makes him any more responsible for this than Boom or DP or Mike Adams? Is it the quote in the "well sourced" SI article? The fact that JT reached out to his mentor? Maybe that he's driving a brand new benz... I meant 2000 something Nissan...? Is TP someone that has looked to betray OSU in accepting the recent punishment that was dealt to him?

Not going to point any fingers... but you make this post in the Pryor thread? How can you insinuate that Terrelle is not a "true Buckeye"?

When you go to a bar and a bartender gives you a free drink without the owner knowing, are you stealing? Individuals can only go as far as someone lets them. Hook ups happen, most of us turn a blind eye to things we consider not to be a "big deal".

I for one will not boo Terrelle Pryor if and when he comes on the field donning the S&G, but cheer, as support is needed for this program and it's players, especially from within... there is enough crap coming from those against tOSU.

This does indeed go well beyond Pryor. However, he's the star QB and one of the most recognizable players in college football. He had a public feud with an ESPN personality. He's said polarizing things in the past. He's done polarizing things in the past. He's a controversial figure.

All the blame going to him is unfair. But it's to be expected.

The main reason TP is the focal point is simple, the guy doesn't say or do the brightest things in the world. He's the best chance to get a reaction for the media, and this witch hunt has been big ratings. They are hoping, praying even, that they can get TP to come out and say something so they can continue this all out assault on the university, and while the others have stayed quiet or said and done the right things, TP has had some less than brilliant comments, eye paintings and other situations that leaves him an easy target.

Pryor, for sure, has played his last game at Ohio State. Fair? Probably or maybe not completely. Fair has nothing to do with it. It just is.

WKNR reports that Pryor showed up at the team meeting yesterday driving a Nissan sports car - WITH TEMPORARY PLATES. We all love his talent, but how, with all that is going on, could he do that? This young man, despite Tressel's efforts, has a big problem with his decision-making. Maybe the car is completely legit, but the image aspect is just atrocious.

and that's how Kirk handled it?

Kirk has been a douche on many levels. I've never even liked him that much as a player, commentator, and Buckeye supporter. That being said, Pryor rubbed him the wrong way, and I'm sure Pryor's approach and extra-curriculars had a lot to do with it.

Really, the only vehicle into which someone 6'6" fits "comfortably" is a bread truck. Such a vehicle is of limited utility as a "babe magnet."

The heck you say! You can fit an entire harem of dead hookers in the back of that bad boy.

Those who live in glass houses and participate in their own extra-curriculars should not throw stones... :shake:
