that stat didnt really surprise me. Ohio State usually has a passer and not a runner. Usually the qb hands off and watches someone else do the running. Now, if OSU had a history of dual threat qbs, i would be impressed.

i fully expect pryor to do that a few more times in his career.

These are NOT sophomore versus sophomore stats... These are stats from THIS YEAR. Tebow is a Heisman finalist by almost all accounts. TP is having a "horrible" season. Tebow is said to be the greatest college football player EVER by many... meanwhile some people are callling for TP to play wide receiver (not necessarily here - they were probably banned). I agree that Pryor has some things to work on as a player, etc., etc. But come on... he's a handful of sophomoric INTs from being as efficient of a passer as Tebow is, too.

I don't mean to pee in the cheerios, but one problem with this statistical comparison is that TP has played 8 games and Tebow has only played 7.

one thing i think people have to remember when judging pryor is this. i think a lot of people acknowledge that the oline is young and has seen a lot of new faces throughout the year. but the receivers are every bit as young as pryor is.

on the last drive pryor threw to posey in the endzone and was off by about 10 yrds or so. the announcers stated that pryor made the wrong read but i don't think thats accurate, i suspect posey did. the camera panned back to pryor who was giving posey corrections on where he should have been. he then looked to the sidelines and clearly lipped, "am i right?". he then shook his head yes and went back to correcting posey.

thats not a ding on posey. guys making millions of dollars a year do what he did on that play every sunday. but it goes to illustrate how young this team is and why they seem so up and down.

pryor obviously still has some mechanics issues. but the thing that is really showing right now is that he is really keeping his cool under pressure. really impressed with the poise thus far today. one more step forward. good to see him continue to progress.

by who? that makes up a major portion of his game. i watch and say "if that was anyone BUT pryor it would be a loss". that happens alot. the guy is a magician with his legs. he and tebow are the best in the country.

I didn't see the game, but that highlight looked like an awesome throw.

Could you guys please keep it down about the Posey going through his progression and going to his second read? I was able to watch part of the TSUN game and Tater likes to stare 'em down and show loyalty to the primary receiver. I just think letting these trade secrets out could get back to him :slappy:

Seriously, I can't fathom what in God's creation could convince anyone that Tater is better than Pryor. My bet is that he will not play the second half against Ohio State.

I'm on the TP bandwagon come hell or high water but I have a feeling that nothing this kid does will ever be good enough for some of the OSU fanbase.

I was at a halloween party last night and all anyone was talkking about was Pryor's poor completion percentage against NMS and how he stunk it up yet again.

I had to be the voice of reason. There were a couple throws he could have hit but for the most part he played pretty well. I haven't watched it a second time or looked at any game logs but I bet over half of his incompletions were long bombs. We were definitely trying to get our timing down on those long passes. Pryor hit the one to open the game with a sweet throw.

When things broke down he ran....and he ran north and south. He did everything you could ask for today. And the one throw that was almost picked, the receiver fell down on his out cut. Great game by TP and the defense!
