QB/WR Terrelle Pryor ('10 Rose, '11 Sugar MVP)

Are you guys seeing the comments Devier Posey supposedly made about Terrell Pryor? SportsCenter is on in the other room and I heard them quoting Posey. I didn't hear the whole piece, but apparently Posey said "there is only one Tim Tebow...I don't know what Ohio State fans expect...he will get better...he couldn't get worse."

Is that an accurate quote?

It's honest. The last thing Terrelle needs is his friends telling him everything is OK. Another smoke screen is not going to help him. Learn from the mistakes, correct and move on. That is all...

The closer we get to game day, the more I feel like Pryor will have this chip on his shoulder and completely GASH the Gophers both in the run game and the pass game. All this bashing of Pryor and the Buckeyes by the media is only adding fuel to the fire. I'm excited to see what kind of offense we see tomorrow!

I'm just hoping to see anything that resembles half an offense tomorrow. I don't care if they struggle. That's the thing, OSU can have an average offense (the entire Tressel era) in the Big 10 and still win b/c of their above average defense. Unfortunately, the offense is below average. It might take a better than average offensive performance tomorrow b/c Weber is going to find Decker. Minny doesn't seem to have trouble getting the ball into their best players hands. And if TP and the boyz don't sustain some drives and move the chains, they will find themselves in a dog fight tomorrow like they were last week against the Boilers.

Call me crazy but I think Ohio State is well capable of shutting Decker down. He's an impressive receiver, but I'm confident he will be pretty quiet.

Uh, why don't you take a look at their offensive stats?

So, if you want to start in the NFL, you need to do a few things. First, play as many reps as possible in college, meaning all four years.

Great post BruBob, and I would agree with your logic were it not for the huge bullseye on every QBs jersey. I would point to Tebow and Bradford and say that if you can get big bucks at the end of your junior year, take 'em. There's more to risk than to be gained.

Maybe I'm reading this wrong, but USC looked plenty beatable before you played them.

USC was going into this year with a true freshman QB, the first one that has ever started at USC. They were going having just lost their offensive and defensive coordinators to Washington. They were missing their one deep threat receiver due to injury.

Everybody before this season said this was the year the Trojans rebuild and not reload like usual. Everybody said they were beatable.

Not in Columbus and not on ESPN. At least that's how it sounded to me. I mean Mustain was 3rd QB on your depth chart...

What makes TP dangerous, among other things, is his ability to break contain but I think this week 6-7 designed QB draw plays straight up the middle need to be called. And executed. Take the 3-5 yards up the middle, make the D respect the threat of running up the gut and not bounce them outside everytime. TP is an amazing athlete and this game is probably the most anticipated start since his first vs Troy.

"North and south running" "head up field" "take what the defense gives you" are all cliches but a struggling offense needs to do just that. Take what the D gives you young man and you'll do just fine. The game will come to you and I know you'll make the big play.

Play loose and let it all hang out! Go Bucks!!!

I'm actually on the other side of the fence on this. I hope TP doesn't think he has something to prove so to speak. I think when he comes out there with that attitude, he tries too hard and forces things. I'm hoping after this last week that he simply comes out and tries to let the game come to him and relaxes a bit. He doesn't need to have a huge game right now. He just needs to concentrate on doing the little things better and helping this team win games. Just my take of course.

im so happy with pryor right now i literally have a huge smile on my face. this is the best half of football he has put in from a mechanics standpoint in his career. he is stepping into throws, he isn't hopping when he's under pressure in the pocket, when he has room on the roll outs he's 100% squaring up his shoulders with his feet underneath him and delivering a catchable pass, he actually did a pump fake!!! his deep pass to posey that the cb made an excellent play on was 100% no bs, absolute perfection. you can't throw that ball any better. hit him on the outside shoulder in stride away from the defender. the heavens opened angels began to sing. even with the drop i have to admit i had a bit of a moment there.

yes, he still has a ton of room for improvement. the mechanics are still only right about 50% of the time. posey is still the only wr he is comfortable with. but i really hope he continues in the second half what he did in the first. way to respond pryor!!!

Yeah, you are reading it wrong. I thought USC looked beatable before the game, but the vibe in Columbus was like "Oh, no..." Tressel made the mistake of calling USC "frightening," which did nothing for the confidence of the chicken little fans. All the analysts claimed that TP would have to have a perfect game for us to even have a chance, and that was complete bunk. Even with a poor offensive showing, we were in the game to the end. TP only needed to be consistant and mistake free.
