is that legal?

google ads all over the place...

Check the legal disclaimer, jo4h...looks like one of those out-of-the-box sites where a "neutral party" owns it. The first sentence is about as generic as you can get:

www.terrellepryor.org is an independently owned and maintained website. We are not in any way associated with the [sports athlete], [NFL,NBA,NCAA,etc], or with any of their agents. All news articles and images are properties of their respectful owners and are here for entertainment and informational purposes only.

Maybe we need to change the thread title to '08 PA QB sports athlete (Official Offer)... :slappy:

Distance is not going to be as big of a factor as many OSU/Pitt/PSU fans are hoping it will be. I really see Texas/Florida/USC making a push for him giving the strength of both their football and basketball programs (USC not so much in basketball yet, but they have some talent coming in).

Texas concerns me a lot here. The VY factor is obvious, but they don't really have much at the qb position after Colt McCoy, and their basketball team is tremendous. Hopefully he wants to make his own name instead of trying to follow in the enormous footsteps of Vince Young...

I think the Vince Young factor would help Texas more than hurt them. While there initially may be comparisons between him and Young, if he were to be successful he'd likely get recognized on his own merits. And if McCoy continues his improvement he'll likely be gone after his junior year, leaving the door wide open for Pryor in his second year there (which he'll be either a redshirt freshman or a sophomore)...

How many recruits from the East Coast(-ish) have we lost to Texas? None?

The next one will be the first one in a LONG time...Marquis Johnson (IL) in 2002 and Ben Alexander (SC) in 2006 were the only kids east of Texas they have taken since the class of 2002. Heck, every single player in their 2003 and 2004 classes were from Texas.

I think Texas is more concerned with Russel Shepard. Even though Pryor is a kid you wait for, Mack Brown might have the least patience when it comes to recruiting. I don't know if they put in all the energy that might be required to get Pryor late in the year.

Texas fans seem to think Pryor is the longest of long shots and that Brown is focusing on Shepard.

Texas and Pryor ... They have 25 listed commits right now. They have room above the scholarship count to add up to 5 (a la the SEC), but that would make Texas' future classes even more assymetric.
As for Shephard (Cy-Fair) - isn't he in the 2009 class?

Yeah, that's essentially what I was alluding to. We still have as good a shot as anybody, but many of us have, perhaps falsely, concluded that this was a race between us and PSU/Pitt. Perhaps not so....
