Why he would even mention Michigan and himself at QB in the same sentence is beyond me? Michigan likes stand in the pocket type QB's. I don't think Michigan has used an a mobile QB since the late 80's. I don't see them changing their offense to exploit his talents. They might say that to him but I doubt it ever happens. Especially with Mallett going there. I dont see Michigan running two different packages for both QB's.

I have to agree with this. Not only have we not really featured mobile QB's in years but we just also brought in probably the best QB we've ever recruited. Mallett's potential really is limitless. Toney Clemons is Pryor's cousin and I heard Toney say that he told Pryor that if he goes to Michigan it won't be to play QB because Ryan Mallett was the best QB he's ever seen.

Single biggest reason I hope Daniels doesn't retire:
*QB coach so the guy recruiting TP is also his position coach
*Joe is a W.PA guy
*coached a W.PA H.O.F. Dan Marino
* and Troy

I would bet Pitt is the team to beat moreso becaus PSU has Devlin and their hoops program is a bottom feeder...

First, great forum here guys. I have been reading for a long time but just registered.

Question - did you HEAR Clemons say that (with your own ears) or did you just hear that Toney said that? Besides that should not be surprising as Toney is a high school player and Mallett was one of the best high school QBs. That statement isn't as impressive as it might seem. Now coming from Lloyd or another college coach it would be impressive.

In modern athletics, comparisons are inevitable -- if not ridiculous.

Every outstanding running back is the next Reggie Bush. Every big wide receiver is the next Calvin Johnson.

But there is one dominant figure from the last few years that no one had been compared to because of his rare physical stature and skills: Vince Young. The former Texas quarterback and current Tennessee Titans QB just received NFL Rookie of the Year honors.
Now, there is a high school quarterback in Pennsylvania who is conjuring up images of VY. Jeannette, Pa., quarterback Terrelle Pryor has been compared to Young because of his 6-6, 220 frame, his ability to glide past players at top speed and his ability to simply dominate football games.

His numbers -- 1,732 yards passing, 1,676 yards rushing and 44 total touchdowns as a junior -- are very Vince-like. But the comparisons have not come from fans or recruitniks alone, the usual sources of premature hype. The comparisons come from a Jeannette football coaching staff that has watched him emerge as a great football player over the last few years.

From what I can tell (assuming the earlier posts were correct), Pryor would be a football scholarship from the moment he joined the team.

And I think Dudley's situation was a little different because he played only basketball for a while and then joined the football team, so he would have been a 3-4 year basketball scholarship and then a football scholarship.

Sorry, one more... from a past Rivals report on J. Chichester.

Rivals (on J. Chichester)

Should he play hoops, he wouldn't count against the scholarship total for basketball, which means Thad Matta could still reel in another big catch in the 2006 class.

Sorry about all of the stuff from the past. I guess I'm a little excited about the Pryor possibility. Mods, I don't think that is a $ site, but I can't tell for sure.

IF Pryor plays both sports, then the question becomes does Pryor want to be a good player on a great b-ball program like tOSU's or does he want to go to a program where he would be the man like Penn State's. I'm starting to think those pesky little Nits might be leading for his services. They seem quite confident about him. Then again they seem quite confident on alot of kids.
