QB/WR Terrelle Pryor ('10 Rose, '11 Sugar MVP)

People around him have always said he liked basketball more, but everybody is telling him his future is in football. While I am a Buckeye alum, I grew up and currently live not far from where Pryor does. And the truth is, from what I have heard from the beginning, I always thought he would pick Pitt for football in the long run. Just because people say he is a kid that really wants to stay close to home as much as possible. I guess he is a shy kid and they could never see him moving away from his family and friends. But I wouldn't put a lot of stock in him not mentioning us in this interview. That PA writer said Pryor hasn't even really thought about it and yet and hasn't even sat down with coaches, his parents, and his legal guardian. So really there is a long way to go yet.

I'll go on record saying, if we get Pryor in this class, regardless of who else we get...I'll be ecstatic.

I haven't wanted a recruit to choose tOSU this bad in a long time. I love that the kid is insanely gifted (5 star in 2 sports?!), huge for a QB, from the midwest (a potential PA steal to boot) & quietly classy. Wherever he goes, I'm going to root for him (won't choose scUM or ND)...unless he's playing us. Honestly though, is there any other player out there this year who screams, "building block" like Pryor? Tons of high-profile linemen, WRs we're in on...but nothing excites me like the thought of getting a 6'6" 230 lb. (at 16/17 even) QB with all the tools from the neighbor's backyard.

Really hoping him wearing the tOSU stuff on multiple occasions is a sign. Heck, I'll read too far into anything at this point...as long as it's positive for us.

more chatter from Texas Scout/Rivals sites on Pryor. I think in some delusional way some of them think that since he's being compared as the next Vince Young that he'll automatically wind up at Texas. I really think it's a non-issue and that some of those internet journalists are just trying to sell subscriptions. From what I've heard Pryor is a good kid, but he's pretty shy and has said repeatedly that he's not going to go too far from his father.

Texas doesn't stand much of a chance IMO.

I dont think anybody is listening to the Texas or Florida people who believe they have a shot at Pryor. He will stay north. He has stated repeatedly that he doesnt want to venture too far from home and that he doesnt want to go down south because it gets too hot.

IMO he stays in this region and most likely will end up at Pitt, PSU or OSU.

If he thought it would be too hot at UNC (his favorite basketball school growing up), I can't imagine him going further south

Florida wants this kid, too. We have offered him in both football and basketball. He wants to play both, so Florida and Ohio State should be near or at the top of his list when you consider the success we have both had in the two sports recently. I'm not sure if he really cares what position he plays, but he is 6'6" and runs a 4.4 40. So he could play QB and WR equally well I would think. Basketball players usually have great hands. If he wants to play QB, we already have four really good ones at our school, so if he is scared to compete, he may go somewhere else. Whoever gets him will get a great football player.

I would be surprised to see him go that far away from home, due to his unique situation...

Maybe. But players usually go by how comfortable they feel at a certain school. And how they like the coaches and other players. And if it feels right. If he wants to go to a certain school, no matter how far it is, I'm sure he would go there. If it was that big of a problem, why would he even consider some of the schools on his offer list.

Just because he has a school on his list doesnt necessairly mean that he has more than an interest in visiting and checking out the shcool...

It has been rumored all over he wants to stay close to home due to his dad...
