QB/WR Terrelle Pryor ('10 Rose, '11 Sugar MVP)

The Duke comments are interesting to me. It might give a bit of insight on his thoughts on playing basketball. I know that Pryor has stated that he wants to play football first, but it may ultimately intrigue Pryor to have an opportunity to play hoops for Coach K. I know football is his first choice, and I can't fathom Cutcliffe and Duke being seriously considered...but rumor has it that Coach K can talk a good game.

Don't take Duke seriously...but listen to rumblings of Coach K going after Pryor.

Wasn't the interview at a holiday tournament the Pryor is playing at outside of Charlotte?

I have a couple things that worried me about that interview posted on rivals.

1) he said that he needs to start immediately....I don't see that happening at OSU. I don't think anyone's jumping Boeckman for next year's starting job.

2) Hoops doesn't interest him anywhere as much as football. I would have thought that one of OSU's strong points is its collective power in both sports! We would have a serious edge over UM!

Having said that, in the interview, he also comes across as a guy who's just having fun!
Hmm, that first one bugs me.. he's stated before he would red shirt, now he has to start?

The only relevant recent post on this thread. :)

Actually the only really relevant post on this thread hasn't happened yet; and we will have to wait until 6 Feb 2008 for it. It will be the one that says Terrelle Pryor HAS signed a national letter of intent to play football at ____ _____.

If you read the posts in between yours and the post you quoted you will see that in fact Pryor has said that early playing time is NOT a factor...

Oregon, Michigan, WVU, Florida, App State, DeVry, American Truck Driving School, Subway University, Chuckles University, Hamburger U, etc...they're all window dressing, IMO...let's just sit back and enjoy the ride. Might as well since this kid is aware that people are hanging on his every word and is going to drag this out until NLOID. Let him have his fun and then we can all have something to get excited about on Signing Day...

... but that's exactly what we are doing. (in our own strange ways.)

? Jeannette got off to a rough start at the Bojangles Shootout in Charlotte, N.C., as the Jayhawks were routed by Georgia power South Atlanta, 96-57. Derrick Favors, a 6-foot-9 forward ranked by several scouting services as one of the nation's top juniors, led the Hornets (13-0) with 42 points. Favors' long list of scholarship offers already includes Florida, Kentucky and Memphis. Terrelle Pryor paced Jeannette (2-2) with 25.

IMO its Michigans position to worry not OSU's. If we get him its gravy on the potatos but if we don't we have a guy named Henton and Payne will do next year just fine.

Why worry over things you cannot control. Hope for the best and expect the worst. I hope he choses OSU.
