QB/WR Braxton Miller (B1G POY, National Champion, OSU HOF)

Duane talks about Braxton in the context of 2010 QB recruiting and I pretty much agree with his take. I'd rather take someone like the kid from Moeller who is likely to turn into a good player down the road and won't scare away Miller than a big name recruit this year.

Braxton's most likely going to be one of the top QB's in the nation in 2011.. I doubt he'll be scared away by competition.

Agreed. Pryor would be on his way out or close and QB's are far from a sure thing, so even if we get Montana, I doubt Miller cares much. Besides that, I've got pretty decent intel in Huber Heights...Braxton is going to be a Buckeye :wink2:. However, I've got to disagree with Duane a bit here...I think Braxton still has a ways to go in his development. He was playing WR in 7 on 7's his freshman year and is just now getting comfortable with the position. Plus, I really don't know if he can be compared to Pryor, he was just a physical phenom. Braxton is good but I think Duane is getting ahead of himself. There is no way we could afford to pass on a QB this year.

If OSU landed Pryor, Boyd & Godfrey in consecutive years, I could see Braxton considering the depth chart, despite his affinity for the school. Instead, OSU might not land a national level QB in between Pryor & Miller.

Montana...?

Far from a lock. I'm not even sure if OSU is leading anymore (actually, I'm not really sure what's going on with Nick at this point, which is half of the reason I'm losing confidence in getting him - this is not me panicking, just saying). I think OSU will be there at the end.. but I just have a bad feeling about it. Not that my feeling is worth anything (it's not).

silver lining of course is that missing out on a big time quarterback in '10 would make the chances of landing Miller even greater than they would be otherwise... the immensely large downside of missing out on a '10 recruit is how terribly thin we will be at QB, this recruiting thing is a funny ride sometimes
