This is a non-story until the summer, when his arm decides whether he can still play QB. After that, he can decide whether or not he wishes to leave. Not that it will stop the "sources" from spamming inventions about every school in the known universe.

I think it's kind of a medium-sized deal. If he were looking to bounce, it would be a very aggressive move to do so in June, learn a new playbook and offense, and expect to start 2 months later.

Unless him leaving is for the supplemental draft in July. And then if he is healthy enough to play QB he'd be sitting at least one year, and if not healthy enough and switches positions it will probably take him a full year to adjust to the new position anyways.

I don't think he'll be ready for any type of supplemental NFL draft in July - and that would be if it was a near unanimous 1st round NFL prospect at QB, which he isn't.

If he would go to the supplemental draft, why even enroll into grad school? Why not just go hire an agent and concentrate 100% on working out and getting ready for the team workouts?

I somewhat doubt you're in a real minority - Ohio State has an embarrassment of riches - I don't think anyone would be sad if Braxton's arm heals and he's able to play QB again for Ohio State.

I didn't word my post very well at all. I meant I am in the minority that thinks Braxton will be the starting QB, if he is able to throw. It seems there is a big split on whether CJ or JT will start next year and buck fans seem to think Braxton should switch positions. I went round and round on this topic with some buckeye fans this weekend. I think people forget very fast how good Braxton was. Last year if he doesn't re-injure the arm, he is the starting QB by a mile and CJ and JT are fighting it out for a distance second string.

So I didn't mean I am in the minority wanting Braxton to heal and return, I think all buckeye fans want that, but I think I am in the minority that I think the QB job is still his to lose if he can throw like he used to.
