I had ankle problems, from basketball, for years. I had to wear these braces with steel springs in them. Some days it was bad, some days I didn't notice. It could last a day or a month. It's a long road. Happily, for me, the problems never returned once I quit playing.
He might have a long road with this type of thing. Of course, he has a crack training staff too. . .

TooTallMenardo;2010930; said:Yeah, he broke his ankle in his soph. year. Only other significant injury he had was a hip injury that held him out of 2-3 games.
kinch;2010933; said:That's good news for two reasons: 1) that's not a lot of injury for a running quarterback and seems better than "he was injured a lot in high school," 2) a broken ankle is much less likely to recur. Even if this were to happen, I bet if, for instance, I had a physical therapist in high school I wouldn't have had it go on so long. It is weakness in the tendons and the little muscles in the ankle that creep up repeatedly. A broken bone just heals. Also, his sophomore year was long ago: this isn't chronic.
He probably just rolled it and will get better.

There would be numerous times, he'd come up from the bottom of a pile limping, new QB comes in for one play and Braxton comes straight back in the game. The kid just wants to succeed by any means necessary. I'm glad he's a Buckeye.
