QB/WR Braxton Miller (B1G POY, National Champion, OSU HOF)

Now that any delusions that we can Craig Krenzel our way through this season with senior Joe Bauserman are over I sincerely hope we play the stud recruit QB that Tressel left for us the rest of the way. With everything against us this season, it wasn't likely to be our year. So let's start moving forward with our future at QB now, not later. Yes, he will make some mistakes but can the results be any worse than we saw tonight?

The offense certainly looked significantly more dangerous with Braxton at the helm. The turnovers hurt, but then again, with more game experience maybe he's a bit sharper.

It's too bad Ohio State is so awful at the position this year. I know Terrelle being lost hurts, but it shouldn't result in 4 passing yards at the half. Just sickening at so many levels.

Where is the coaching for gods sake? Seriously?????????????

I really wouldn't be surprised to see a third QB in the mix next week as the number 2. If our receivers are going to struggle to get open, Braxton and Guiton are better options. Plays need to be extended in order for this offense to work against good DBs.

Simple there wasn't any coaching. Urban on Speed dial anyone?

It' already been said but we've now been outbadly coached two weeks in a row, especially on offense. Gameplan was horse shit.

Terrelle made the offensive coaches look like masterminds last year. We will miss him more and more as this season progresses. Hopefully Miller will take advantage of his opportunity.

He has to get an opportunity first. Playing 2-3 series a game isn't going to do it.

I was watching for Kenny Guiton on the sidelines...wondering what that guy is thinking about now. Yo coach...let me have a shot at 'em. LOL

It really couldn't have hurt-looking back, of course. It's pretty sad to think that the coaching staff couldn't have him more prepared after the amount of time he's been here.

I can forgive some coaching ineptitude, but yanking Miller after the botched play in favor of Bauserman, who had demonstrated nothing except an ability to go 3-and-out without a turnover, was inexcusable on Fickell's part. This is the kind of thing that can ruin a young QB, and it's something no head coach can do.

Does Miller make lots of mistakes? Unquestionably. But at least he has time to learn, and needs to be given the chance to do so. Bauserman has not given any indication that he is a competent B1G QB, and tonight demonstrated pretty conclusively he will not be one. If Miller isn't the choice, someone else, other than Joe B, must be.

Was thinking about the same thing...people forget that Troy wasn't even supposed to get a shot at QB when he got here, and he got his shot...that turned out not bad.

Have to go with the future here. QB play regardless won't be our brightside. In hypothetical terms of something like the NFL Bauserman is in a long time back up role. Smart guy, great leader but does not have the torque to squeeze in big time throws. Just gotta roll the dice with Braxton and grind it out week by week, long term it will pay off. Were young guys, gonna have growing pains, go bucks!

Speaking my thoughts exactly. If we're going to pull Braxton for that, then there were umpteen opportunities to tit that tat. :shake:
