Waiting for you to nab that holbrook one and bring it over here. My response to that one without even reading it: who cares what she thinks? Female Hitler, she is.
Already got it in the other thread

I'm glad you guys understand and agree with the single thread theory

I've always been an advocate of it. It's a good thing I don't have to resort to belittlement and beration (beration? is that a souL special?) of people who start new threads about the same topic.

I knew there was a reason you were my idol

I'm very interested to find out the connections here..meaning, did Troy get his cash from the same people as Mo? Some things tell me it's possible. Remember, Maurice and Smith are tight. Some of us have heard some serious character issues with Troy while he was at OSU, even before he ever took a snap. I won't rule out the possibility that the same hookups Mo had, Troy used.

Alot of you have read some of the things I've posted about Tressel and what's going on with the NCAA. I don't think Tressel had anything to do with the Smith situation but I'm not gonna be surprised to hear there may be one or two more players that are involved with Smith.

I'm getting so sick and tired of this shit. Tressel may be a great guy but there is something horribly wrong here. Maybe it all boils down to Tressel's nice guy image and his lack of a temper with some of these outside people who think giving money to players is ok. Maybe there is more to it. I just want to see action, dammit. Tressel or no Tressel.

Players at Ohio State and every other major university have been getting benefits since the early 1900's. There is nothing u can do about it coming from a coaching standpoint. All you can do is hope the players are not stupid enough to get caught. My uncle received benefits back in the late 40's, and other great buckeye players received benefits. My buddy who played at Georgia told me that all the good football players would get the "100$ handshakes", however none of those guys got caught.

No doubt its wrong, but it happens every where!

Troy Smith

Ok...someone had to start a thread up..

I heard last summer that there may be a few players dumb enough to take money from boosters. Even going as far as to say the same people that helped out Mo may be still out there helping current players. Either Tressel really is or was involved in some of this, or we have a case of total lack of institutional control. Either way, someone is gonna have to take the shit sandwich.

I think there's a good reason people think Jim Tressel would make a good Senator. Certainly, he's a good coach, who gets the most out of his players (does this make him a good orator?). He handles the media very well. He chooses his words very carefully and is rarely caught 'slipping up'. He's pleasent and charming to listen to. He dresses... impeccably.

At this point, so much has gone on with this program during the Jim Tressel era that, coincidence or not, I'm realizing that he's not beyond reporach in all of this. Is this directly his fault? No. A resounding 'no'. I think what Goof said about his 'lack of temper' might be off a bit. I think that maybe he knew/knows about things that are likely to go on without anyone ever noticing and turns a blind eye to it.

I'm ready for my red chicklets now.
