Personally, I want all the critics to bash Troy in each and every aspect of his game and what he does/doesn't bring to a team on and off the field.

I truly believe we haven't seen his best yet and that's the most exiciting thing about the next few NFL seasons for me. Besides who really feels the Browns scouts know what they're talking about, I mean they've been knockin outta the park with their first round picks the last 6 years or so right?

I have only TWO reasons to even care about that organization now, if they actually draft:

1. Troy

2. Teddy

and that's it.

Period

Which ever team selects Troy I will become a die hard fan. Well atleast for as long as he's with that team....:wink2:

And every time he shows up in Cleveland Browns stadium in an opposing uniform I hope he he saves his best for those days in particular.

If all they are concerned about is his height, they are the dumbest bunch of F#!&*n idiots in the league. Besides this kid wants to play for them more than any player coming out of college has ever wanted to play for the Browns since Kosar.

Troy deserves better than that F*#!ed up organization, so Cleveland Browns Scouts; please don't ruin this kids career if you do select him!!!!!!!

Please get him some offensive lineman, and a speedy receiver, maybe one out of Ohio State. ie; Teddy or Gonzo.:osu:

Troy will probably be there in the 2nd round but the Browns won't take him because they're MORONS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I'm with Peter King. Five years out. Just wait for it.
Exactly Steve. I said before the draft, for Troy's sake I wanted him to land in either Baltimore or Philly. His pre-existing relationship with McNair will only help. Troy has all the intangibles to be a winner in the NFL. He may never put up the big numbers, but I would confidently bet on him becoming a leader on the Ratbirds (God, it kills me to say that). Do not bet against a properly motivated Troy Smith. Go gettem Troy.

Heisman winner back at 'bottom of the totem pole'

Troy Smith has his first practice with the Ravens, wearing No. 11 instead of the 10 he had at OSU.

By David Ginsburg
Associated Press

OWINGS MILLS, Md. ? On his first day as a professional football player, Troy Smith was merely one of 29 rookies trying to land a job with the Baltimore Ravens.
"I'm at the bottom of the totem pole right now," he said. "I have that understanding."

Heisman is history for QB Smith

Ravens draft pick not worried about adapting to NFL
By Jamison Hensley
Sun reporter
Originally published May 5, 2007

After being drafted in the fifth round by the Ravens last weekend, Troy Smith knows he has to quiet the critics who say he won't make it as a pro quarterback.

When his NFL career informally began yesterday at the team's rookie minicamp, Smith learned of another hurdle to overcome - history. Few Heisman Trophy-winning quarterbacks survive in the NFL, much less thrive.

I like the 11 on Troy's chest. Maybe Troy Smith can be out the current #10 holder, Drew Olson (Rookie UCLA) for the #10 Jersey. :)
I heard Ginn was going to wear #11 also... (in addition to gonzo), perhaps it's a trend.
