QB Troy Smith (2006 Heisman Trophy Winner)

cant believe he's still on the board. wish the browns would have passed on BQ and grabbed troy in the 5th but oh well, we'll see how both pan out in the NFL. I still think Troy has all the tools to suceed. and now a reason, once again, to prove himself.

Unfortunately, the title game and then the senior-type bowl games and combine really sunk Troy hard. Enough so, with what some saw as a questionable ethic, that it really undid much of the positive attitude 'redemption' created by his Heisman campaign and win.

It's disappointing, because some of it was avoidable. Troy made a big deal to say that he was grounded and wouldn't buy into or over do the "banquet circuit," but even he has now suggested he did.

At the end of the day, he'll end up in the NFL. Then it's on him to impress them. Is he more Michael Bishop than Drew Brees, as the NFL seems to believe, or is it the other way around the way most Buckeye fans feel? Time will tell.

Lol, yeah, same thought at the same time.

I think Chicago would be the ideal scenario. Puts him on a team an winning team who has a very questionable starter and recent track record with QBs. He can go in as a backup, and one can see a reasonable path to him having an opportunity to impress and start.

While you guys are waiting to see where Troy Smith goes, you should be working on his (and other) pages in the new wiki!

You also have to wonder about the OSU tradition. As much as it helps somebody like Gonzo or Whitner, the fact that Mike Tomczak is your most successful "recent" QB alum has to hurt.

It's not just Ohio St.'s rep. It's the entire Big-10.

I knew there was a reason you were over here.

Like our "three yards and a cloud of dust" tradition keeps our WRs from getting picked?
