QB Troy Smith (2006 Heisman Trophy Winner)

My apology to Troy Smith

I have to apologize to Troy Smith. I was very hard on him after the Penn State game. I knew he could run but I was not impressed with his arm or leadership abilities. I must eat my words now and I see what Tressel was seeing in practices. He has a great arm, very good leadership abilities, and never gives up. He has learned how to throw the ball away when he needs to and for the most part take a sack(I can't fault him for the first fumble tonight because at least 50% of the time he does get loose and make plays).

After the Scum game I was pretty impressed but that was Scum. Tonight and looking at all the games after the Penn State game has made me a Troy Smith believer. He still makes me Nervous as hell but he can get the job done. Thank You Mr. Troy Smith , I'm really waiting to see what you can do next year. Go Bucks

The sky is the limit for this guy and this offense. They need to address the fumbling problem, but you have to think this offense will be the best in the Big Ten, and one of the best in the nation with Troy "the Wizard" Smith at the helm.

My God, who could have seen this coming? Zwick was supposed to be the man. He was supposed to win the starting job his freshman year. Heck, I remember watching Smith on special teams in 2003.

I always thought Smith would be the backup quarterback and that every now and then he would come in to mix up the offense a little. Instead, he seized his opportunity and will go down as one of the greatest quarterbacks in Buckeye history. I became a believer during the 2004 scUM game, now I'm more than that.

Congrats to Smith on DOMINATING scUM and ND, and here's looking forward to what you can do in 2006!

Zwick is the man! But...Smith is Jesus. I'll never complain about having 2 amazing QBs on our team. Smith is obviously better, but that's not a knock on Zwick. I think Zwick is the 2nd best QB in the Big 10.

If Smith doesn't stop himself...nothing can stop him next year. If he cuts down the turnovers, he'll be the nation's best QB...whether Young and Quinn come back or not. Bold statement...but I'm making it firmly.
