QB Tavien St. Clair (Official Thread)

Kid is going to push Sayin from the very beginning you can bet on it.

Love TSC, but expectations for 18 year old QBs are way too high. If he was playing at IMG, that's one thing, but going from D3 to Ohio State is going to take time...mentally, and physically. I hope he gets the time he needs to just sit, watch, and learn. If he can get some snaps against Grambling late in the 4th, great, soak it up, but I don't think this is going to be any kind of competition, nor should we put that kind of pressure on him either.

I would tell this highschool child to go play at Michigan or Notre Dame. The kid can't throw a spiral and is low IQ.

OSU better sign a transfer QB like Notre Dame and OSU did last year.. a college player with experience at this level not a child from Bellefountaine??? Who do they play there? Lima? What a joke high school.

If this kid starts and not a portal transfer OSU will finish 5th at best in the big ten conference.

Coach needs to tell him to go to OU or bowling green first... Ideally a rival like Michigan. This kid fucking sucks.
Who is this troll lol?

Ohio State freshman quarterback Tavien St. Clair will have some hardware to place in his dorm room.
On Wednesday, the National High School Football Hall of Fame Board of Governors named St. Clair its Marcus Dupree National Player of the Year. The honor comes after the 6-foot-4, 225-pound quarterback threw for 2,536 yards and accounted for 38 total touchdowns as a senior at Bellefontaine (Ohio) High School this past fall.

"Tavien St. Clair has proven himself to be one of the most dynamic quarterbacks to ever grace the high school football stage," said LaMont Robinson, a former professional basketball player and the Hall of Fame's current chairman. "His remarkable talent and leadership qualities embody the essence of what this award stands for."
St. Clair will receive his national player of the year award from Marcus Dupree at the 2025 National High School Football Hall of Fame's third annual induction ceremony, which will occur on June 14 in Canton. According to the Hall of Fame, the event will "celebrate the best of high school football, including players, coaches and other figures who made a lasting impact on the sport."
This spring, summer and fall, St. Clair will compete with Julian Sayin and Lincoln Kienholz to become Ohio State's starting quarterback in 2025.
“These guys are going to compete their tails off,” Ryan Day said on 97.1 The Fan last week. “We have some good quarterbacks in the system, and I shared with all of them that – and this was the week leading up to the national championship game – that they had an opportunity to watch (Will Howard face Notre Dame). That’s exactly what we’re looking for in a leader here at quarterback.
“I told them, ‘When you guys come back in about two weeks, you gotta look different, you gotta walk different, you gotta act different because now you’re fighting to become the starting quarterback at Ohio State.’ We have some really talented guys in that room, and I’m looking forward to seeing what the competition brings.”
