We traded in Shugart's once-a-game false start for a once-a-game kick out of bounds.....then traded that kick out of bounds for a seven-times-a-game batted pass.

I had/have the batted pass concern, as well. However, I think with the right QB, that can be schemed around. Tate is Maziel 2.0. If we don't move the pocket and run that type of offense he won't be as successful. I'm trusting Wilson to understand that with Martell (assuming that he's still our OC) and Barrett. I can't understand what Beck's problem was.

Jesus, hasn't anyone figured out what's going on? It's simple. As long as one of the QB and receivers is tall, all's good. Tall to tall, ball goes over the D in a line parallel to the field. Tall to short or short to tall, straight line at an angle. Still all good. Short to short and the ball has to arc over the D giving them an opportunity to bat the ball down. Duh.

This is clearly why we passed on Lindsey. It was for the future of the program.

This is also clearly why Can't Guard Mike had such success last year with Brees. Short to tall works.

It is written in stone.
