From watching, I think CK's success stemmed from learning early what he could do, and what he couldn't, and not trying to do too much himself. I don't think Troy grasps that yet, because I think he tries to do too much at certain times, and not enough at others (I don't mean he isn't trying, just that he doesn't step up and make the correct read, runs instead of throwing it away, etc.). He just doesn't seem comfortable out there, whereas CK seemed to be in complete control of himself and the situation. With that comfort in himself comes confidence from others, and with that confidence comes leadership.
That is the thing. The light went on for Krenzel, but right now it is just flickering for Smith.
