QB Quinn Ewers (transfer to Texas)

Ohio State commit Quinn Ewers and 21 other quarterbacks will descend upon Manhattan Beach, California, this week to begin competing in the Elite 11 Finals. The competition returns this year in its typical three-day format, running from Wednesday to Friday at Costa Mesa High School.

Wednesday's on-field competition is at 6:30-8:40 p.m. PT, Thursday's is at 6:20-10 p.m. PT and Friday's is at 8:30-10:40 a.m. PT. Then, on Friday evening and Saturday, all of the quarterbacks will play 7-on-7 as part of The Opening Invitational.

Ewers, a five-star and the No. 1 overall recruit in the 2022 cycle, will enter as the favorite to become the Elite 11 MVP.

Nonchalant is really the best adjective to describe him like Letterman Row described. Everything looks so natural to the point it's almost like he's horsing around even though he's insanely good in even the biggest moments.

It will be interesting to see how his career here unfolds because he'll no doubt be fighting uphill year 1 to play. Year 2 could be interesting too because that'd either be year 3 of Kyle McCord or year 4 for CJ.

A wonderful problem to have I suppose.

NIL is going to make QB depth very interesting. a starter at another school, will get some descent NIL $$. will be hard for a to sit on sidelines as backup and pass up that cash.

FOr example, jack miller could probably start at some power 5 schools as a soph. his hometown schools AZ and ASU come to mind (although don't know what their depth charts look like).

today will be fascinating because Ewers no doubt has some pressure on him to bounce back and make a statement. I so wish they had a livestream of the event.

Brandon Huffman’s take on Ewers was not quite as glowing as the local perspective. Didn’t list him as one of the top 6 performers, but highlighted the fact that the talent is clearly there:
