QB Luke Fahey (Official Thread)

If he’s running out in LA, my biggest concern will be what kind of shots USC is going to lay on him (legal or not). Given their attitude after the USC guy leveled Dante Moore, I wouldn’t put any sort of dirty play past them.

Yeah I think they can call some option or draw plays, but they’d have to be very careful about when and where. If TSC can come in once in a while and run while also throwing it as far as he can to JJ on PA, all the better.

Fahey looked very comfortable playing with Henry and Bey in the preseason, and I'd guess those three have had plenty of reps together since then. It shouldn't be hard for him to adjust to adding JJ into that mix under the tutelage of a former NFL Head Coach(c). Fahey doesn't need to win any games just yet, he just has to not lose them. Plus the Oline should be getting a key piece back soonish. One that's getting laid now, which is nice.

BuckeyeNation27, I am so sorry for your loss.

I don’t think Day recruits guys who can’t run his offense.

Think about the risk side of it now by asking the new QB1 to run it more than is natural. You are one play away from the new QB 2 (TSC) coming in and no one can even name QB 3 without looking it up.

Fahey may not be as ready as we need but he’s not going to come in and just be asked to run it beyond taking what is safely available UNLESS they feel like we have nothing to lose. Meaning Fahey isn’t good enough and they have no hope for TSC at this point, then why not run Fahey? You are going to lose anyway kind of thing.

If that’s the case though, I’d still think you’ll see him slinging it more than running it if Day is on death ground. He knows a QB can do a lot more damage with his arm than legs.
