is it 1962? are we running 3 yards and a cloud of dust?Is this another one of your innocent pure questions? Are you aware there are other plays besides throwing in football? Have you heard of someone say that three things could happen when you throw ...
It’s just a terrible situation to be thrown into with this OL and these RB’s.
Yep. I think we are underestimating how much easier it will be for Bo to break some big ones with a qb that WILL pull it if its the right play.Fahey isn't Braxton or anything, but he's got at least ok running ability and has already shown that he is willing to take off. They need to leverage that properly; the threat of a QB running can open up more for the rest of the offense.
Yeah right, sunshine. You expecting a backup to come in and operate like a starter is not foolish at all. Even Julian only barely completed half of his passes against that defense. The verdict on Fahely is not in yet. Forgive me for not joining your doom party.is it 1962? are we running 3 yards and a cloud of dust?
the current offense is pretty pass happy. the goal when Fahey got in the game was kill the clock and keep the ball away from Indiana, which requires first downs. to just expect first downs to happen without passing is foolish. being impressed by spiking a ball 7 feet in front of a WR is foolish. not having a backup QB capable to run your offense is foolish.
other teams can have their backup come in and not look like he's wearing a blindfold. that's apparently too much to ask at Ohio State. I expect he will look a lot better with 2 weeks of prep with the 1s against a defense that doesn't have 27 year old almost NFLers......but I'm allowed to be disappointed with what he showed against Indiana, and questioning why a QB would throw the ball in this offense is dumb, to me. He should be prepared better than to not expect him to throw the ball. If we are afraid of our QB throwing the ball, what are we even doing?
I read this as you saying the coaches didn’t have him ready to go.is it 1962? are we running 3 yards and a cloud of dust?

Go ahead and point out where I said he needed to operate like a starter, sunshine. I'll wait.Yeah right, sunshine. You expecting a backup to come in and operate like a starter is not foolish at all. They either didn't have him ready or don't trust that he is. Or they know with that OL it wouldn't have mattered.I read this as you saying the coaches didn’t have him ready to go.
The right side is definitely a problem. They either didn't have him ready or don't trust that he is. Or they know with that OL it wouldn't have mattered.
When you need to run clock, and a true freshman is coming in cold against a top defense on the road I would have run some draws on obvious passing downs because the odds of you converting 2nd and 29 aren't very high. You're not sure why a QB was asked to throw? The football?
And then after the 1st down? When you need to run clock, and a true freshman is coming in cold against a top defense on the road I would have run some draws on obvious passing downs because the odds of you converting 2nd and 29 aren't very high.
