QB Lincoln "Dakota" Kienholz (Official Thread)

Does he know anything or is he just spit balling here? If he has no inside info, that's pretty classless.

Saw this the other day. I wouldn’t be surprised if he connections being in media and an alum, but it feels like a big guess. Likely an educated one as I feel the same will happens, but I doubt Ryan Day green lit this tweet. Especiallly when shortly after Keinholz tweeted out “Go Bucks” shortly after.

I agree. But the QB room is going to be CROWDED. Howard, Air, Sayin, Utah and Dakota. It's a good problem to have, but someone is losing out

I don't think Air has to be factored into this calculus yet. If I'm his dad, I'm saying, hold what you've got for now, soak it all in, and help them develop you and we can recalculate later. The portal, if necessary, is his friend when/if that time comes IF he's gotten as much out of his time at tOSU as he can. That last point goes for Sayin, or really any other QB, as well, but it looks like Sayin has pushed the issue forward.

So, that gives you four, but there will still be two at the front going into the summer. I think Howard wins out, for various reasons, but whether he does or not, he's gone after this year. That means Lincoln and Sayin are competing against each other to push Brown. If Brown loses out to Howard, he's out whether he stays or not. If he wins, he's still vulnerable to one of the next two and I don't see him being a multi-year starter in this scenario. I think Lincoln is a better version of Brown and Sayin may not be the same level of athlete, but certainly by next year he'll be a better QB.

If I'm Lincoln and/or Lincoln's dad, I'm looking at whether I can beat out Sayin next year, because he IS a multi-year QB. Once he's QB1, barring injury, it doesn't look like he's stepping down and Air is right behind him who's probably already a similar athlete to Lincoln and will only improve as a QB. Further, you've got to know that if you beat out Sayin next year, you've got to hope that he transfers or you'll have to beat him out again when he's got a year more development under him.

If I'm Brown, I'm leaving, the question is just when.

Believe it's been pointed out, but I'll reiterate. Dakota boy had been committed to Washington, where DeBoer was HC. Now that he's at Alabama, methinks he's keeping an eye on Keinholz, watching to see if he'll get bypassed, and be ready to travel/transfer. It's inevitable that tOSU and Bama will clash in the Final 14, and would be a real coup for DeBoer if the dagger would be Keinholz. Just sayin'
Based on the Mizzou game, he’s pretty raw.

Again, based on what I saw in the game with Mizzou, no one behind Brown was ready to do anything beyond take the snap and hand the ball off.

Orrrrrrr after Brown went down, the coaches realized the OL was a fucking mess and did their best to protect him
Also in a "what does the QB coach actually do here" moment, we all realized that LK couldn't audible to change protection. I'm fully aware that a couple of OL were getting bullied vs Mizzou, but not preparing your backup QB is inexcusable.

From what I heard/read, tOSU left several practices 'on the table'. Meaning, they did not utilize them. In retrospect, it's a WTF moment. Giving Brown most of the reps, certainly, but the what if factor wasn't acknowledged. Clearly, for when LK got in against live defense, he acted like he had on a black jersey. Dunno, guess I expected more of an Ohio State quarterback (all of 'em). Certainly the OL wasn't up to the task.
