Herbstreit is to Ohio State as Jim Harbaugh is to the University of Michigan. Both have unrealistic expectations of what their universities can, and should, aspire to. And both feel like they should be able to take shots at their Alma Maters without consequence.

The big difference is that Harbaugh lives in Northern California, whereas Herbstreit lives in Columbus. And he's apparently about to remedy that.

I'll say that I'm a little shocked at some of the things said about Herbie here and elsewhere. It's pretty intense.

Arkansas fan has lived with the 'insane fans' label for a few years now based on how Houston Nutt was treated.

It's a matter of perspective I suppose. From the outside looking in, how Nutt was treated certainly looked insane, I'll give you that. And I'll even give you that some of it was WAY over the top and out of line.

The same principle applies to Herbie and OSU I guess.

The non-OSU perspective on Herbie is that he is a fair guy who works hard at being objective. The gripes y'all have about some of the things he's said about OSU barely even register outside of OSU and make up just a couple of tiny drops in the bucket of how College Football fan looks at OSU.

I seriously doubt you are in any postition to comment on the laziness of anyone associated with The Ohio State football team. You have no fuckin' clue how hard any of them are working on a daily basis.

However, the point was that he hasn't EVER said that about any other teams OL, so I guess tOSU is the ONLY school in the nation to have lineman of the fat, slow, and lazy variety. Fuck Herbie.

Would it shock you to know that most of us don't know what in the fuck you are talking about in regards to Huston Nutt? The non Arkansas perspective is of a vague recollection of the name only because it was easy to work in with a dick joke.

I guess we are all guilty of overestimating how much the outside world cares/knows about the details of our programs minor domestic disturbances.

I've thought about vacationing to Nashville this year. Just walking around town decked out in tOSU gear wearing a menacing look and buying items that could be used for nefarious purposes at [strike]Home Depot[/strike]...Lowe's. See if Herbie moves again.

Your 'guilty of overestimating' statement is absolutely true.

Arkansas Fan went to insane lengths to drive Houston Nutt out of Fayetteville. He was dug in like a chigger and every bit as irritating.
