After the LSU game on Friday night, the only things that remained unsettled were the top-3 spots and where Nevada would end up. Pitt, Ky, and BC weren't going to get ranked. The Auburn-Oregon loser probably wasn't going to drop below Stanford or Ohio State.

So I had my ballot filled out except for the top-3 spots after Nevada won on Sunday night. Waiting to figure out the entire ballot until after the BCS Title Game and then saying you were tired is a BS excuse. Knowing that the ballot would be due a couple of hours after the game, and having the entire weekend beforehand to get it figured out, except for the top-3 spots, means there's no excuse for not putting some thought into the final poll of the year.

Folks, you can express negative opinions about Herbie, but don't just vent by swearing at him. 'Do your fucking job' is OK, but a short statement that does nothing but calling him a swear word is not.

Which is why you should never, ever email one of those clowns. They want you to listen, not to agree with them. If you really don't like what someone has to say, then don't watch, listen, read, click, or do anything else that will drive up their ratings and ad revenues.

If Herbie's vote was meant as some kind of "statement" (directed at Pryor for some of his comments, at Tressel for not suspending the Tat 5 for the Sugar Bowl, etc.), then really, he should have had the courage to leave Ohio State off of his ballot completely, and then say, "I did it on purpose because...." Instead, he ranks the team as low as he possibly could have without it being completely obvious that his vote was an utter sham ... and then he concocts some BS excuse to justify it.

Head to head matters if both teams have the same record...you lose a second game, head to head gets thrown out the window.

Should Purdue have been ranked ahead of OSU last year? I agree with strohs.
